I haven't quite absorbed all of what I have experienced on this trip. The animals, birds, insects and vegetation we saw is almost overwhelming. I have gained a stronger appreciation for this world we live in because of this trip. I will definitely take another National Geographic G Adventures tour in the future.
A wonderful trip through a lesser travelled area of Indonesia. Our awesome CEO Mangun showed us the best of Indonesian culture and its people who were among the kindest, and most sincere I?ve ever met. The tour is quite travel heavy at the start but comes into its own in the final 2/3. The trip to Mt Bromo was my highlight!
Our trip through Indonesia provided us with a variety of scenery, activities, local knowledge and cultural with other travellers who enjoy the adventures of travel in foreign lands.
A very enjoyable trip with some impressive scenery, interesting food, an outstanding guide (Rey) and some great experiences. There was no major highlight but collectively the places visited provide an insight in to the Philippines and the culture. And we had 2 typhoons which made for some challenges at times.
Tell anyone to picture paradise, and the beaches of Bali and Lombok will likely pop into their minds. Experience it for yourself on this 15-day adventure through the Islands of Indonesia and see why Bali and Lombok are favourites among travellers – it might have something to do with the blend of beaches, great food and rich cultures. Feel rejuvenated as you walk, hike, cycle, snorkel and swim through the islands and surrounding seas. Both these gorgeous islands are famous for their beauty and welcoming spirit, which you’ll encounter at every turn.
I hadn?t travelled with GAdventures in quite some time and realized i missed out. I really enjoyed the whole tour and will continue to travel with G. I have two more tours booked. Looking forward to my next one with my grandson in Italy.
Great trip from Bobobudur, through Java and Bali. Some really un-touristy places on both islands ending with uber touristy Ubud and Sanur so a good mix.
Pieter our leader was amusing and knows everything there is to know.
Always plenty stops for drinks and to stretch the legs on travel days .
Steamy Sumatra is a rugged jungle paradise for all types of adventurers. The world’s sixth largest island is teeming with untamed nature and is home to many endangered species, including the Sumatran tiger, rhinoceros, elephants and the acclaimed orangutan. On this ten-day Sumatran expedition, travel from Medan to Bukit Lawang and explore Gunung Leuser National Park. Head to Berastagi and hike up the steaming active volcano Sibayak, basking in the glory of misty panoramas from the summit. Finish in Samonsir on Lake Toba, where the colourfully dressed Christian Batak people welcome you.
Be part of this fully supported mountain bike trip and enjoy the best cycling trails of Bali in seven days along with some of the most famous highlights on the island. Meet your group members in Canggu. Hop on your bike and hit the trail to Jatiluwih, followed by Bedugul, Mount Abang and Mount Batur.
Five days in a row on a bike can be a bit of a challenge, specially if the track has a lot of variety, and we do not recommend this trip to the uninitiated. But for those who have enough experience, this trip is sure to be a memorable journey.
Pedal through tracks that run uphill, plunge downhill and are everything else in between. Ride around the rim of Mount Batur's caldera on a single track with an ocean on the one side and volcanic mountains on the other and hurtle downhill for 35 km from the volcanic mountain all the way to Ubud.
After the rides, there is time to explore around the destinations, relax on the beach or just chill out with your newfound friends. Please scroll down to go through the itinerary.
