Arrive on the first day and we'll transfer you to Ranupani Village where you can enjoy a local homestay before beginning on foot the following day, where you'll hike to Ranukumbolo and on to Kalimati, enjoy the incredible scenery of lakes, forest and jungle en route. On the third day, we'll wake up in the middle of the night to summit Semeru Peak in time to see a spectacular sunrise (weather permitting) and be back in Ranukumbolo for lunch and a much-deserved rest by the lake. On the last day, we'll end our hiking after a few hours' walk and a homestay lunch.
Ever wondered what a volcano looks like up close? Ever wanted to hike up a volcano and cycle through it's lava stream? We will pick you up from your accommodation on Day 1 (please refer to the 'Good to Know' section for more details). The first day involves riding around the outer rim of the volcano while soaking up the amazing views of an ocean on one side and mountains on the other. Expect some of Bali's best single track riding on this day!
On your second and last day of this trip, you will hike up to the summit of Mt Batur for an amazing sunrise experience before hurtling down a wide mixture of terrain all the way to Ubud, where this adventure ends. Reasonable bike skills are needed to be able to navigate the varying terrain that you encounter on this trip. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry appropriate outfit.
