Truly great experience in an amazingly beautiful and spectacular country. We had a great team to support us with Tashi our guide really awesome! The trek was well supported with good equipment, good catering and lots of nice touches like hot water bottles at night in the tent and a beautiful celebratory lunch at the conclusion. The walk itself was spectacular and well paced. I’d highly recommend this walk and this country with its wonderful people and amazing sights!

This was my first Geluxe trip, having done four 18-30something trips previously. This again had an excellent, knowledgable and friendly CEO who embodied G Adventures ethos and wanted to ensure everyone had a great trip. The itinerary has a great balance between activities and rest and pace that means a lot is packed in to 12 days, without feeling excessively rushed. My family went to Bhutan in July this year. Mr. Jovi helped us organize everything and He was amazing. So helpful, clear communication, and efficient every step of the way. He helped answer many questions about my travel in Bhutan as well which was so nice of him. The travel specialist has been very patient with all my queries and gave me a reliable assurance that all be well. He arranged everything perfectly making me feel safe and confident in the trip. Another guy named, Colins is also wonderful tour guide. Going out with him for my tour feels like he's been my long time friend. Very comfortable to talk to and he takes good pictures too. And the hotel room is warm and it's been a long time not sleeping well due to work. But at the hotel, I have rested perfectly. The buffet breakfast at hotel is so yummy too. Overall, my trip was very memorable . Definitely, will come back to Bhutan through this tour company.

My partner and I recently completed the Everest Base Camp trek and I am 100% confident they are the best company available. From start to finish they were there for our every need.
During our time in Kathmandu, the agency representative was always at the hotel in person, greeting us with a warm welcome and a friendly smile. Before our arrival he was always on hand by email and replied almost instantly to every single question or query I sent him, even with the significant time difference between UK and Nepal. I really don't know how he does it.
Our guide during the trek was an absolute pro and was always on hand to answer questions or organize meals, permits or any other need we might have. His knowledge of the Everest region and how to navigate it physically was second to none and it was apparent by the many other guides and porters who stopped to greet him that he is a very experienced and well respected member of the trekking community.
A special thanks to the porters in our team, who powered up the trail every day carrying close to 40kg each. Never complaining and never without a smile or a fist bump. They arranged our meals in the evening and came along on acclimatization days.
Our group of 3 made it to Everest Base Camp. Many did not. I am certain this came down to the expert guidance and support given by the team. Should I ever return to undertake another adventure, it will be with this team.

We’ve just returned from a remarkable 12 days in Bhutan and couldn’t recommend it more highly. This is some feedback from Sophie and me.
The whole thing went brilliantly from start to finish. We have some appreciation for the challenges of operating in developing countries, and so very much respect what went into delivering the outstanding service. We were continually delighted. Our expectations were well and truly exceeded.
The core trekking support team of Sam, Norbu, and Sigay was genuinely outstanding. They worked tirelessly and delivered incredible meals and services for us, always with a bright smile. They were 10/10.
The guide, Sonam, was good - capable, organised, calm and helpful. He dealt with the two mini crises extremely well - when one guest had to be evacuated and the 2nd set of ponies was very late. His one area for improvement is his communication. This would be three things: (i) English pronunciation, (ii) in talking to our group, he nearly always directed his gaze and speech to me, the only male in the group, to the exclusion of the women, and (iii) he could be more proactive and forthcoming with information. He will go from 8/10 to 10/10 if he can improve his communication.
There was a small misunderstanding about the tipping. From the WEx materials and common sense, we had assumed the tips would be given at the end of the trip. Sonam asked us for a tip for the first set of horsemen when they finished their work mid-trip, and he indicated that the team tip fund would usually be provided at the start. That didn’t seem consistent with the WEx materials, and we had no way to know how much horsemen should be tipped. Also, the WEx materials say “if” you have a guide or drivers, which is odd given that this trip had both. Our sense from the WEx materials was that there would be two tips: one for the team and one for the guide. We assumed the drivers and horsemen were part of the team. In reality, more than two tips were required, as drivers and horsemen were not considered part of the team. The practice of tipping is foreign to us and sensitive, and WEx would do well to achieve better clarity for all.
The hotels in Paro and Thimpu were both great, and the staff were wonderful.
