Well worth it! Our driver was Frank and guide was Jimmy. We were picked up at 07:45 from our hotel and dropped back to town centre around 18:30. We got to see so many beautiful landscapes within the Sacred Valley of the Inca. Jimmy was awesome, friendly and helpful. I definitely would recommend this day tour. Do you want to visit the famous Macchu Picchu but are short on time? This tour takes you to the sacred Macchu Picchu site and back in just one day. At 5 am we will pick up you from your hotel in Cusco and bring you to the train station in Ollantaytambo. Here is where we board our train to the town of Aguas Calientes. Once in Aguas Calientes, our guide will take you by bus along an upward zigzag path to reach the incredible wonder of the world, Machu Picchu, known as "The Lost City of the Incas". Once in the citadel of Machu Picchu, you will have a guided tour to visit the main venues of the city including the main plaza, the circular tower, the sacred solar clock, the royal quarters, the temple of the three windows and the cemeteries. The tour will last for more than two hours. At the end of the tour, you will be given free time to stroll around the citadel and visit Machu Picchu on your own. As an option, you can hike to the sun gate or Inca bridge. After exploring the site, we return to Aguas Calientes for lunch in one of the many restaurants (not included). In the afternoon, we will take the train back to Cusco, arriving at approximately 8 pm.
