This express three-day tour is ideal for those who have a limited time in Peru. This journey opens a portal into the past of the Incan Empire!
You will get to see the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu, which stands 2,430 meters above sea-level in the middle of a tropical mountain forest, in an extraordinarily beautiful setting. Known as the most amazing urban creation of the Inca Empire at its height; its giant walls, terraces and ramps seem as if they have been cut naturally in the continuous rock escarpments. You will arrive at sunrise – a symbolic time for the Incans – and watch dawn break over the weathered walls of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
See the detailed itinerary for more information.
The Andean condor is the largest flying bird in the world and this private, guided trip is the perfect option for all the bird lovers out there who want to see these majestic giants soar over the Peruvian landscape.
Start your tour with a pickup from your hotel at around 7:00 am. Leave Cusco city for the archeo–astronomical centre of Killarumiyoq, located in Anta.
Head for the town of Limatambo after a guided visit of the centre and continue towards the department of Apurímac. Visit Tarawasi, which has one of the few remaining Andean cult structures. After that, it is time for lunch.
On the road again, we will arrive at the Huayronka Bridge and take a detour to Chonta. You will soon reach the area with three condor viewpoints. See giant Andean condors soaring over cliffs and canyons as you start your walk from the first to the last viewpoint, which takes around an hour. Spend two hours total watching the birds, exploring the area and taking pictures. We will drive you back to the city after the tour is over and drop you off at your accommodation.
