The cruise to the glaciers and fiords is amazing. The ship is perfect for the conditions, the food excellent and the staff very efficient catering to the guests every need. The naturalist guides are also excellent. Breath taking scenery, wild life and a little secret treat I assure is great fun but must keep a future traveler in suspense. Calling all foodies and lovers of locally-sourced goodness! Our Farm to Table food tour in San Jose Barrio Escalante will take you into the heart of traditional Costa Rican cuisine. Each dish is prepared with fresh products that are all sourced from ingredients grown within the country.
On this tour, we'll visit four establishments where we have private reservations and personalized service. At all restaurants, coffee shops and cocktail rooms we visit, you will be welcomed by the chef, manager or owner as they explain to you what goes into preparing the signature dishes and drinks hand-crafted by each proprietor.
The restaurants for this tour were chosen due to their farm-to-table concept and innovation with traditional Costa Rican cuisine. You will consume mostly fresh, locally-sourced organic greens and vegetables during the tour.
The tour includes 2 workshops (coffee and mixology), a 6-course tasting menu and 7 drinks (spirits included).
Delicious surprises await.

This trip comes with bragging rights. It’ll take you to Machu Picchu by a route that most tourists don’t even know exists. The trek combines the beauty of the mountains with a cultural visit to two different villages, deep in the mountains.
The trek starts in Lares and takes you through a swathe of the Sacred Valley that’s home to many traditional weavers and farmers. In this part of Peru, the valleys and peaks of the Andes crest and fall like ocean waves, and the hoof marks of alpacas are more common than footprints.
You will also have the chance to enjoy the hot springs, which are divided into various pools ranging from freezing cold to boiling. They are all composed of pure volcanic water, which is medicinal in nature and considered to be good for your bones, stress, muscles and headaches.
I loved everything about this tour! Our guide, Edmundo, was very knowledgeable and clearly loves what he does. We got to see Rio from a different perspective. If you are an art lover, this is a must. If you aren't, there is so much history in the tour that there is something for everyone.
This combination tour is perfect for visitors to La Fortuna who want to do it all but have limited time. With this one-day tour, you can visit the most important attractions in the area.
The incredible Arenal Volcano is not to be missed, so we start the adventure at the Arenal Volcano National Park to hike a 4 km (2.5 miles) trail called “Lava Slides of 1992” which will take us as close to the mighty Arenal as possible, without risking your safety. From there, if the skies are clear, the views of Arenal Lake, the forest, and the areas devastated by previous eruptions will be impressive.
At around 11:30, we will arrive at the second place of interest, La Fortuna Waterfall, famous for its height of 70 meters (230 feet). There you can take a refreshing swim in the cool waters or take pictures of its beauty. Afterwards, at around 1:00 pm we will stop at a restaurant near downtown La Fortuna for a delicious a la carte lunch with 5 options to choose from.
Later, at 2:30 pm, we will head to the Arenal Hanging Bridges, to hike a 3.1 km (1.92 miles) trail circuit high above the tree canopy, and across a circuit of 15 impressive hanging and stationary bridges trying to spot the local wildlife.
At the end of this full-day tour, we’ll drive you back to your hotel.

Galapagos land tours are an excellent option for active travellers and wildlife enthusiasts who prefer not to sleep on board a boat while exploring the Galapagos. On this guided tour, travel to the less-visited areas of the Galapagos islands at your own pace.
This guided tour takes you to explore the islands of Santa Cruz, North Seymour, Española and San Cristobal from a different perspective than usual. You can walk with the Galapagos tortoises at the Santa Cruz highlands, swim with hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, octopuses and an array of tropical fish at Kicker's Rock and spot marine iguanas and waved albatross at one of their only known nesting sites.

Our guide wise engaging and knowledgeable. He has trekked extensively in the Andes. He was very conscientious and attentive. He checked his frequently about altitude sickness as well. It was a great tour!
Get up close and personal with the nightlife in San Jose, starting with the Central Market, which, in our opinion, is the only way to learn about the city’s food (aside from eating it, which we’ll get to!). Stroll the market with your local guide and get to know the secrets and uses of the roots, herbs, and fruit common in local cuisines, including ingredients that will play a role in your authentic Costa Rican dinner later. The locals say that you can get anything you need at the Central Market, even love potions for attracting a boyfriend or girlfriend…wink.
After the market, we’ll make our way down Central Avenue, enjoying a trip down San Jose’s memory lane, learning about the city’s history and anecdotes, as well as visiting one of the most architecturally beautiful buildings in San Jose, the National Theatre.
From there, our appreciation for San Jose’s historical architecture continues, with a walk through Morazan Park to enjoy the Metallic Building, then on to Spain Park for a fantastic view of the Yellow House (now the Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
We’ll continue to charming Barrio Amon, one the oldest neighborhoods in San Jose. Designed by Amon Fasileau, a Frenchman who settled in the area, it has become one of the most scenic parts of the city, boasting a rich, architectural history.
We’ll be spending the rest of the evening at a favorite local restaurant that specializes in wine and gourmet food.
