WHAT YOU’LL DO
Mesmerizing and mystical, the legend of Machu Picchu may never be fully unraveled. On a six day journey to the heart of it all, lace up those hiking boots to follow Eco Quechua Lodge along overgrown jungle trails, past hidden ruins, and through vibrant Andean communities to the Lost City of the Incas.
"WALKING IS THE SPEED WE WERE CREATED TO USE WHEN TRAVELING THROUGH LIFE."
- JORGEN JOHANSSON, BACKPACKER
The story begins in Cusco on the cobblestone streets that weave between the city's Spanish colonial churches and plazas. Once the beating pulse of the Incan Empire, it now serves as a historic and archeological prelude where the shops and markets that line the city streets expose ancient traditions and timeless customs.
After two days of urban exploration, it's time to hit the trail. Meander from the Sacred Valley to Aguas Calientes via the Malaga Pass, taking time off between two trekking days for a little relaxation. As the elevation rises, well-trod trails reveal unsullied views of the snow-capped Andes and verdant jungle canopies - rewards well worth the effort.
Tucked into the surrounding scenery, the Eco Quechua Lodge is a welcome respite from all that treking. Revive tired muscles with a soak in the nearby hot springs or jolt the senses with a cup of locally grown organic coffee before making the final ascent to the legendary Lost City of Machu Picchu.
Toes still tingling from the excitement - and all that walking - board the plane back home with a weary smile, still entranced by the memory of your time on the trail.

The Petropolis x Teresopolis crossing is located within the Serra dos Órgãos National Park in Brazil, amidst the exuberance of the Atlantic Forest and between the mountain towns of Petrópolis, Guapimirim and Teresópolis.
Â
Considered by many as the most beautiful trekking or long-distance hike in Brazil, the PetrĂłpolis x TeresĂłpolis crossing presents several breathtaking landscapes and visuals. With many obstacles, steep climbs and descents is considered a difficult trekking and has about 32 km linking the municipality of PetrĂłpolis to TeresĂłpolis through the wild.
Â
The Petrópolis Teresópolis crossing usually takes place in 3 days, being the route divided into Petrópolis park entrance to the Açu castles summit, then from the Açu castles to Pedra do Sino summit and then from Pedra do Sino to Teresópolis park entrance.

Outside of Cusco lies a truly magical landscape of colored mountains and sweeping valleys in the Andes. While Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) has gained a lot of fame among travelers, thereby receiving hundreds of visitors on a daily basis, few travelers realize that there are multiple rainbow mountains dotting this other-worldly landscape.
Be part of this off-the-beaten-track experience and travel to Palcoyo during this day trip. Starting from the Main Square of Cusco, we will take you to Palcoyo where you can take pictures and enjoy this otherworldly landscape before it is time to travel back to the city.
Although not as popular as Vinicunca, Palcoyo, discovered only in 2018, is very similar to the well-known mountain. And since few travelers know about this, you can be assured of encountering fewer tourists when you are hiking through its landscape.
Do you want to experience the Andes close up but don’t have the time or interest in a long trek? This Humantay Lake trek and Inca ruins excursion is a fully packed day trip from Cusco that allows our guests to become fully immersed in the high Andes in just one day. The turquoise waters of Humantay Lake lay peacefully at the base of the picturesque glacier, one of the most stunning places in the Cusco Region of Peru. This full day excursion is the perfect way for guests to experience trekking in the high Andes, but without having to spend a week of their time on the trail!
After an early morning departure from Cusco, we will drive to the town of Soraypampa and begin our trek to Humantay Lake, located at 4,300 meters. En route, we will make a brief stop at Tarawasi archaelogical site to explore Inca ruins. Once at the lake, guests will have time for photography and to explore the surrounding area. We will then make our way back down the mountain for a gourmet box lunch prior to our departure from this serene landscape.
After lunch, we will drive back through the Andes to Quillarumiyoc, an archaeological site where the Incans made ceremonies to worship the moon. The literal translation of the name means “the place of the moon rock”. The site itself showplaces waterways, terraces, petroglyphs and a huge rock with a semicircular cut in the shape of a crescent moon. Quillarumiyoc is a little-known site seldom frequented by tourists but is an incredibly interesting site to view.
Our personalized and private service with gourmet meals and only the most experienced guides of the region would be a great inclusion to any Peru vacation!
The classic Inca trail is one of the most famous and incredible trekking routes in the world! The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is the best example of the approximate 40,000 kilometers of roads built by the Incas 500 years ago. Incan roads were built across deserts, highlands and jungles stretching from south Colombia throughout Peru, Bolivia, northern and central Chile and to the Northwest part of Argentina. The Inca Trail starts in a typical Andean region and finishes in a jungle region going through cloud forests, Incan tunnels, bridges and snow on the way. Undertaking this trek is an opportunity to go back in time and live with the Incas for
