Book your place in this guided, 5-day tour and conquer the trail that is a popular alternative to the crowded, classic Inca Trail. The Salkantay Trek offers more distance, more sceneries and a wider variety of landscapes to enjoy and takes you past one of the highest mountain passes in the country.
Start your trek on the very first day of this trip. Conclude your journey with a visit to the iconic monument of Machu Picchu, which you will also get to glimpse on the fourth day of the tour. Avoid the regulations that have been imposed on the Inca Trail. We have designed this itinerary in such a way that it includes many of the highlights of the popular routes in the Salkantay Trek but avoids most of the areas that are fast becoming crowded with tourists.

Step out of your regular life, and get back to nature!
The Ancascocha Trek in the Peruvian Andes is a remarkable trail that, unlike other more popular trails, remains off the beaten track and away from crowds. Yet don't be put off by its lesser known status.
Named by National Geographic as one of 20 dream hikes on the World Best Hikes list, this stunning trek takes you past ancient Inca ruins and through traditional Andean villages such as Chillipahua and the trail's namesake Ancascocha (3,700 m). Here you may briefly share the trail with farmers, shepherds and livestock tending to their daily lives far removed from the tourist crowds of Cusco.
Challenge yourself as you climb a number of big passes, including the highest point at the Huayanay Pass (4,650 m). The rewards for your efforts are staggering, with panoramic views across the Andes, cascading waterfalls, crystal blue lakes and the towering 6,266 m Apu Salkantay. At all times, your guide and crew will ensure that the pace is suitable for everyone in the group, taking breaks for rest and food whenever needed.
At the end of each of the first two days of hiking, you will arrive at camp to find your high-quality tent already pitched (complete with mattress and pillow), your gear in place, and your crew preparing a sumptuous dinner. After a night under the most incredible starlit skies, you will be woken right on time with a cup of steaming hot fresh coffee or tea, before sitting down for a nutritious and energizing breakfast. All you need for the day of hiking ahead.
On the third day, you will spend several hours hiking a portion of the Classic Inca Trail, to the sacred valley town of Ollantytambo. This is likely to be the first time you will see other hikers!
Taking the scenic train to Aguas Caliente you will have photo opportunities galore as the train cuts along the valley floor. Your final night will be spent in a comfortable hotel with a group dinner at an excellent local restaurant (drinks not included). Rising as early as you want, your itinerary concludes with a guided tour of Machu Picchu. Witnessing this new wonder of the world is an incredible spectacle that will stay with you forever.
Finally, with your camera loaded with photos and your head full of incredible memories, you will take the train back to Cusco transfer back to your hotel.

Good activity for acclimating with a trek up to 14,698 feet in altitude. It offers views of the mountaintops and the Cordillera Negra.
Join us on a 1-day hike to one of the most beautiful mountain lakes of Peru. We will pick you up form your hotel in Huaraz between 06:30 to 07:00 in the morning. Take the road that goes to Pitec. Reach the check point of Huscaran National Park, the starting point of the hike. Follow an uphill, zigzag trail from that point all the way to Laguna Churup. The hike will take you approximately 2 - 3 hours.
The hike to Laguna Churup is popular among travelers, not just among those wanting to see the lake but also among those wanting to acclimatize before a longer trek in Peru. But even if the lake is close to Huaraz, it is not so easy to reach. However, we have ensured that you can walk at your own pace and rest when you need to. You also have the option of camping on the shore of the lake.
Reach Laguna Churup, located at the elevation of 4450m. Take plenty of time to relax and explore the surrounding areas. Take pictures and start your journey downhill along the same route. It will take you approximately 2 hours to reach Pitec, from where you will drive to Huaraz.

I would definitely recommend this trip for those who are seeking adventure! Each day we say different cities and sites (Huacachina Desert, Nazca Lines, Arequipa, Puno/Lake Titicaca, Cusco, Machu Picchu, and Rainbow Mountain), which are totally the experiences. The only downsides of the trip were the overnight bus due to its discomfort of trying to rest as well as the bumpy roads whenever I had to use the toilet on the bus. Also, make sure to bring enough medical supplements with you and buy enough coca supplements (mints, candies, leaves, tea) to adjust to the altitude or any higher elevations! I did get some headaches and dizziness, but that's kinda normal and to be expected.
Wanna explore Peru beyond just the Inca Trail? Over 6 mesmerising days, you’ll witness Peru’s most underrated wonders. Travelling in a comfy 1st class coach from Lima to Huaraz (and back again), you’ll hike up one of South America’s last remaining tropical glaciers, explore clear blue lagoons. And even check out the mystical temples of Chavin de Huantar. Get ready for rewarding hikes & oh-so-incredible views!
Okay so this Argentina & Chile Patagonia trip? Kind of insane — in the best way. It had everything: big city energy, glaciers, penguins, and so. much. wind.
Started in Buenos Aires which is super cool like, old buildings, crazy traffic, and the best empanadas I’ve ever had. We got to see a tango show (yes, I tried the steps... no, I did not crush it). Food was chef’s kiss honestly the breakfasts everywhere on this trip were solid too.
Then we flew to Ushuaia and it was like BAM totally different world. Cold, dramatic skies, water everywhere. The Beagle Channel boat ride was unreal. Penguins waddling around like they own the place. Also saw sea lions just chilling on rocks. Kinda surreal.
El Calafate was a dream. Perito Moreno Glacier?? Massive. I didn’t think I’d be that impressed by a chunk of ice, but it was majestic af. We did a boat trip and just stared in silence, it was that good. Also: hot chocolate in town = 10/10.
Last stop: Puerto Natales. Honestly such a vibe — super quiet and chill after all the running around. Torres del Paine was stunning but intense. Pack layers, because the weather switches up constantly.
Overall, this trip was packed but manageable. Flights, guides, everything was smooth. Would I go again? Maybe not the same route, but absolutely something similar. It was wild, beautiful, and way more emotional than I expected. Patagonia hits different.
