We had an amazing time on our trip to Chile. Everything on our itinerary was planned perfectly and everyone was early to arrive and very friendly and happy to give recommendations. The W Trek experience was made so much easier and less stressful thanks to their careful planning. Would recommend to anyone looking to experience Patagonia without having to worry about missing out on booking any part of the trip.

The trip was really good with lots of standout places and experiences. Our trip manager was brilliant. He was friendly and knowledgeable and made everything easy. Some of the accommodation wasn’t the best (poor showers, uncomfortable beds, no safety lock box, no elevator) but for the most part acceptable.

Wildlife enthusiasts, this one’s for you! The 'Highlights of Ecuador & the Galapagos' is a 15-day small group wildlife tour that unveils the best of both mainland Ecuador and the legendary Galapagos Islands. Starting and ending in Quito, you’ll witness Cotopaxi volcano’s grandeur, delve into indigenous culture, and spend two nights immersed in the Amazon Rainforest.
Then, it’s off to the Galapagos, where you’ll snorkel with playful sea lions, walk among ancient giant tortoises, and relax on pristine beaches shared with sunbathing marine iguanas. The moderate activity rating ensures a rewarding yet comfortable pace, especially for senior travelers seeking a blend of natural and cultural wonders.
The standout feature of this trip is the rare opportunity to combine Amazonian adventure with extraordinary Galapagos wildlife, making this tour package a once-in-a-lifetime journey for those eager to witness nature’s marvels up close.

Arturo was a fantastic leader and guide. Knowledgable, helpful, caring, experienced and amusing. This was my 11th Explore holiday and Arturo is up there with the best guides. The porters and cooks are heroes - we were very happy to tip them generously. The itinerary was perfect, though no one should underestimate the challenge of around ten hours walking on day three. Cusco hotel staff were fine but the layout around a central atrium means the rooms are very noisy. The hotel near Machu Picchu was lovely but the staff were rude, unhelpful and disinterested. Overall I’d fully recommend this trip - but be sure to get into shape beforehand and consider your kit carefully.

This tour was certainly for the independent traveler, and we liked how much of it was left up to our schedule. We had a terrific experience and would recommend it.

Done over 30 trips with Explore.
Always good.
Small group, well led, safe & comfortable but not luxurious.
Free time on some days, and some very full-on days.
Worth paying close attention to the itinerary

Well prepared Salkantay trek 5d/5n zone with Saul G as a guide and Gregorio as a chef and Cesar and Walter as porters. Good food all the way and amazing places to sleep such as the hobbit houses and the star gazing houses the very first night. Bonus was the lomo saltado cooking class and the visit of a coffee farm.

It's been an incredible experience. There was nothing missing from this trip: great company, incredible places, the challenge of hiking at high altitude, loads of food. Thanks to Rolo for being such an amazing guide.
