The hotels were well chosen and offered really good food. It's important to realize that much of the travel is not prearranged, but we were not high season so were able to book everything we needed. It would be better to arrive from Oslo than Bergen.
Venabu is a great addition to the Exodus brochure. Good range of skiing, great leaders, effective instruction, very good hotel. This would also be a good base for some overnught(s) in the huts that are within reach. A must do trip!
From close-up encounters with icebergs and glaciers to the region’s plentiful wildlife, this is a voyage of non-stop highlights. Always on the lookout for wildlife that live in this polar wilderness, you’ll explore this landscape not only by ship but also on foot and via Zodiac. Then, you will visit Bergen and have a chance to pass through the most emblematic places and experience food tasting in the fish market. You will embark on a journey to enjoy the views of Sognefjord, the King of Fjords, and its glaciers. Your sightseeing will continue as you experience boarding a cruise on Geiranger fjord, one of the Norway's most narrow and impressive fjords, dominated by a huge rock face with stunning waterfalls. You will also have the chance to pass by the Eagle Road, Troll’s Road and Atlantic Road and get a spectacular view of land and sea. As you return to Oslo, you will explore the city through a guided tour. If your time permits, you can still enjoy some last-minute shopping before your tour of Norway comes to an end!

The Faroe Islands is an excellent hiking destination combining mountain and coastal scenery to rival anywhere in northern Europe. This itinerary offers beautiful and varied walks on each day that were ready to be adapted for weather if necessary by our wonderfully enthusiastic Faroese guide who also taught us much about the island's proud culture.
Come prepared for all conditions including the possibility of flight delays due to fog. This risk can be mitigated by choosing to fly with the local carrier, Atlantic Airways who are better equipped to land if such conditions occur.

While I don’t really think anyone should be setting foot on this pristine wilderness, the planning and management of the sailing and Zodiac experiences raised customers’ consciousness of the potential damage. We were expected to walk in each other’s footprints to avoid damage to the fragile plants and soils, but in reality the terrain, and some of the attitudes, made this very difficult. It was sad to see tiny saxifrage plants ground into mud, aged lichens kicked off rocks. Even sea ice must be damaged by the ship. We did learn a lot about the environment and the ship seemed better suited than others.
But should anyone be going for fun and exacerbating the climate related destruction?
