UTracks provided the perfect way for my husband and I to walk a lovely part of the Portuguese Camino from Porto to Tui just for a week. The Camino isn’t a luxury vacation, it has a more humble history, and in the past we walked independently, staying in albergues in Spain, with no set daily itinerary on our way to Santiago de Compostela. This time we wanted to walk just a portion of the Portuguese road, with UTracks to do the groundwork and make our reservations for us. The inns and homes chosen to stay in all had charm and convenience and were, without exception, clean and run by friendly people. The route through Northern Portugal is beautiful, and the chosen itinerary alternated between challenging and easy days in order to let us enjoy the charming towns along the way. I really enjoyed our tour guide, Isaso. She was very friendly, helpful, informative of what our itinerary will be for each day, let us know when are our W.C. breaks were, how much time we have at each stop, present information of each place were were visiting, and very caring. Also, I like our driver, Domingo. Excellent driver so many curves and turns. I would have like to spend more time in the small towns such as Porto but due to the tight schedule, we did not have the time. I wish the bus had disability seats better accommodationsfor one elderly lady with cane/wheelchair and her daughter. Not fair that they had to walk further from the bus drop off area. Love all the hotels and hotel rooms. They were all very nice and clean. The breakfast in the hotels were delicious and had nice variety, too. I especially love the flamenco show and dinner in Madrid. The show was top notch and the dinner was one of the best I had. A very fun, long trip with sightseeing and long walks.
