This part of Tuscany was a complete surprise and a total delight. Not only did we have the typical walking through rolling pastureland covered with wildflowers, we also had many walks through shady forests decorated with sun streaming through the new green leaves and over a floor of last years copper leaves before we emerged onto high ridges to enjoy stunning views over still snow clad peaks. A total delight.

We just got back from the Best of Europe (22 day tour) and it was an amazing experience, but group travel is not for everyone. If you want to meet new people to explore Europe with & can handle being on a schedule - then group travel is for you. If you want to isolate yourself, have trouble with compromise, and are looking to complain about your fellow travelers and the tour guide - then group travel is not for you. Emma (tour guide) was amazing and reminded professional throughout the tour. She was always willing to answer questions and give a quick history & language lesson about the different cities in Europe. She made the entire trip enjoyable and manageable as she is an excellent communicator. As for the tour itself, there are a lot of cities and, at times, it's hard to keep them straight - but that's not necessarily a bad thing. This tour gives you a good sense of what Europe is like and where one may want to visit again. The local tour guides were very good for the most part

This tour was just amazing. We had Robi as our bus driver and Darius as the tour leader and loved every minute of it. I had a leg injury and found the walking tours difficult so my tour leader always managed to come up with ways for me to still be included. We did most of the optional extras and loved everything. The hotels are out of town but close to public transport, all meals were nice and the group were all supportive of each other. Our tour would not have been the same without our tour leader, his professionalism and knowledge and positive attitude made our experience a dream come true. Our bus driver Robi had fantastic driving skills and we always felt safe and in good hands. I would gladly do another Expat Explore tour with these two guys. Just amazing!!

Trip was excellent. Tour Guide, Gus, was fantastic, very knowledgeable, great communicator, and made sure all of our needs were met. Food and wine tour could not have been better. Never really liked many wines but the tastings proved me wrong. The agricultural farms were great and the food fresh and abundant. Villages were quaint. Castle was very interesting - 34 generations living in it and continuously running a vineyard and producing wine since 1141 is unbelievable! Looking into another food tour in another country. Gave accommodations less rating because hotels were in old buildings and they made due with space available: 1) First 2 nights in Hotel Bologna, the room was very, very small and had 2 twin beds aligned in tandem against one wall - would not have fit any other way, 2) Hotel Le Cisterna, last 3 nights, walls were so thin we could hear every word people next door said.
