The hotels were well chosen and offered really good food. It's important to realize that much of the travel is not prearranged, but we were not high season so were able to book everything we needed. It would be better to arrive from Oslo than Bergen.

Amazing discovery of the fjords via hiking, cruise, ferry rides and mini-bus travel. The accommodations at Nes Gard and Fjaerland Fjordstove Hotel added to the spectacular hiking. Views of the fjords and farm-to-table food was amazing at both Inns. Each day of hiking was a unique experience ; all of which offered amazing views.

Venabu is a great addition to the Exodus brochure. Good range of skiing, great leaders, effective instruction, very good hotel. This would also be a good base for some overnught(s) in the huts that are within reach. A must do trip!
When it comes to cross-country skiing, the low-mountain village of Skåbu, Norway, is the best place you’ve never heard of. Wedged between three national parks, it offers extraordinary diversity in its well-maintained trail network, with easy tracks through sheltered forests and more demanding routes that climb higher into the open mountain plateaus. Explore them with expert guides, who craft a flexible itinerary based on the local conditions and group’s skill level. In the evening, return to the welcoming Skåbu Fjellhotell, enjoying the delights of its standout gourmet restaurant – just reward for a day on the skis.
Please note: Each departure has two different ski grades and two guides. Check the Dates & Prices tab to ensure you book the right trip for your skill level. For more on our ski grades, check the Essential Info tab.

While I don’t really think anyone should be setting foot on this pristine wilderness, the planning and management of the sailing and Zodiac experiences raised customers’ consciousness of the potential damage. We were expected to walk in each other’s footprints to avoid damage to the fragile plants and soils, but in reality the terrain, and some of the attitudes, made this very difficult. It was sad to see tiny saxifrage plants ground into mud, aged lichens kicked off rocks. Even sea ice must be damaged by the ship. We did learn a lot about the environment and the ship seemed better suited than others.
But should anyone be going for fun and exacerbating the climate related destruction?
