I had a fantastic experience! The hikes through the untouched landscapes of Eastern Iceland were truly a highlight. Kudos to our CEO Mike, whose deep knowledge of the region and passion for hiking made the tour very enjoyable—and allowed us to experience some truly breathtaking nature. The sense of community within our group and having a “home base” in Bakkageroi made the experience even more special.

We had such an amazing time in Iceland, made all the better by our fabulous guide and driver. The tour was fairly fast-paced, but left some time for exploration of local sights and experiences around the itinerary. As very active people, it was sometimes a bit frustrating not to be able to do extended walks in some places, but we are turning this into a positive by having a wish list for a future visit to explore certain areas more on an independent holiday. We feel our guide really did make the trip even better than it already was - she knew so much about each area, and we made extra stops along the way to visit some places off the beaten track that she knew which were not listed on the itinerary. This went a long way to making us feel more like 'locals' rather than the many, many tourists who we saw doing the Golden Circle on the last day. In fact, we felt sorry for those people, who probably only saw a fraction of what Iceland has to offer, while this longer tour offered us a much broader range of experiences. Must-do extras on the tour - the thermal baths in Akureyri (go early in the morning - they are just over the road from the hotel), the lava show in Vik, and the Reykjavik Fish Restaurant in Rainbow Street - an excellent vibe with the most reasonably-priced food we found. A great first night of your holiday visit. Save your pennies and do this trip!!!

Einar was the best tour guide I have ever had and an excellent ambassador for Iceland. His enthusiasm and tremendous knowledge of the geography and cultural history really added to the tour.

I am assuming you want evaluation on the city of Reykjavik tour. That tour guide was awesome but our whole trip tour guide was disappointing. The saga/history museum on the last day was too cramped for our size group and it was not enjoyable. I would have gone to the whale museum since we had gone whale watching. The whale replicas were awesome and the placs were short yet very informative.
