Incredible experience!
My wife and I just got back from our trip to East Africa. For the first leg of our adventure, we booked thru bookmundi the 4day Serengeti experience with a local travel operator.
It was incredible. We were blessed with a great day in the Serengeti, seeing 23 different lions in one day! The most amazing was a full pride, Momma and 3 babies crawling around the Cape Buffallo they had taken down, were soon joined by her 2 other female lion hunting partners. Just around the corner was Dad enjoying the morning sun after filling his belly. We spent some time admiring him alone before any other drivers came to investigate.
We also saw a leopard dragging an impala it had caught back to the hill it had been hiding in, as well as elephants, giraffes and so many of the usual gang roaming around Africa!
Highly recommend it! Manyara was quite as full of visible animals, being a dense forest, but if you like monkeys, the baboons will not disappoint! Troops of hundreds.

After breakfast at the Tourist Inn Hotel in Arusha our driver and guide will pick you up and take you on almost five days of safaris. This tour includes 1 day of Game Drives safari i the Lake Manyara National Park in a 4WD. Here you will see tree-climbing lions regularly climb into the acacia canopy, probably to run away the concentration of biting insects. Lake Manyara is also home to large herds of buffalos, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, elephants and hippo pools. The national park attracts water birds such as herons, storks, kingfishers and the iconic fish eagle. The National park is home to Tanzania's birdlife with 400-plus species recorded, counting 50 birds of prey, raucous forest hornbills, pink-hued flamingos and flotillas of pelican.
Following the great safari in Lake Manyara you will during day 2 and 3 visit the magnificent Serengeti National Park. Serengeti National Park will give you the chance to experience the BIG 5 and other varieties of species and, of course, an endless and beautiful landscape.
During the last day 4 our driver and guide take you through the Ngorongoro Crater which is also known as the Garden of Eden due to its closely populated and untouched wildlife including lions, zebras, leopards, about 30 large elephants etc. In the crater you can also be sure to see the crater basin, a lake having hot water and its upper part covered by the volcano, plus a variety of wild animals and flamingo birds.

This 5 days safari will start our from Arusha and display some of Tanzania's best safaris, that will take place in a 4x4 wheeled vehicle with pop-up roof. Furthermore, we guestimate that you will see about 500 bird species, including ostrich, secretary bird, Kori bustard, crowned crane, marabou stork, martial eagle, lovebirds, and many species of vultures.
Day 5 of this tour will take place in Serengeti National Park where our driver guide will drive you through the Ngorongoro Crater which is known also as the Garden of Eden in terms of wildlife. Here you can expect to see hot springs, the maasai community and of course various animal species.

This safari takes you to four of the best national parks in Tanzania.
Lake Manyara is a good soft introduction to the safari experience. It is a magical and pretty park that winds its way around a mainly forested driving route between the banks of soda water lake and the impressive rise of the Great Rift escarpment.
The Serengeti National Park is justifiably famous for its huge concentrations of wildlife, especially the big cats, as well as being the stomping ground of the Great Migration, a massive accumulation of 1.5 million wildebeest, 200,000 zebras and 350,000 gazelles stretching their legs over 1,200 miles in an
annual race to find enough water and green grass for their survival.
The Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest intact caldera in an exceptional geographical position, forming a spectacular bowl of about 265 sq. km with sides up to 600m deep. It is home to as many as 20,000 to 30,000 wild animals at any given time.
The last national park on your itinerary is the Tarangire National Park, one of the more seasonal parks of Tanzania that boasts of great migratory movement and is a haven for bird lovers. The park also offers stunning scenery with its baobab-dotted landscape and presents a breath-taking concentration of elephants during the dry season.

I went on safari in Africa for the first time in my life, and I feel like-why didn't I come here sooner! During the first few days of the game drive, our guide showed us animals that we didn't even know we were looking for. Lions, cheetahs, and rhinos - I have seen them all, and every time the guide has made the place more alive with funny stories. Wow - not even sure where to begin. We did a 5-night 6 day safari with the local tour operator. It was difficult for us to select which company we were going to safari with and we couldn't have been more happy with our choice. We were always comparing our vehicle, food and guide info with others along the way and it seemed like we were always better off then those we met! :) Our guide Azaria has a true passion for wildlife and ensuring his guests are happy. He went above and beyond for us in many ways including helping us to buy bus tickets upon our return back to Arusha. Our chef Benjamin surprised us daily with his delicious meals. Peter (the owner) was very patient and answered my many emails with lots of details and quickly. We received quotes from a lot of companies and the one we picked is extremely competitive and we felt in the end priced very fair for the services provided. We camped for 4 nights and then headed to a mid-luxury lodge for our final night. Camping in the middle of the Serengeti was so cool and it was nice to end the adventure in a fancy place!
One thing that is very important when considering a company is having unlimited driving KM's. We didn't even know how important this was until we were chasing after a Cheetah and 2 other vehicles wouldn't follow as they were limited to the number of kilometres they could drive each day. Nothing stoped Azaria from trying to show us all the animals! :)
I would not hesitate to recommend this tour operator to anyone - working with a smaller company who us truly committed to customer satisfaction is totally the way to go for an expensive activity like a safari.
