I recently had the opportunity to embark on a wonderful tour of Italy, and it was an experience that will forever hold a special place in my heart. From the moment I set foot in this beautiful country, I was captivated by its rich history, stunning landscapes, and warm hospitality. Our journey began in Rome, where ancient ruins like the Colosseum and the Roman Forum transported us back in time. The grandeur of the Vatican City left me in awe, especially when I gazed upon Michelangelo's masterpiece, the Sistine Chapel ceiling. As we ventured north to Florence, I was enchanted by the art and culture of Tuscany. We had a very happy tour group of 8, ranging from about 63 to 70 years. The trails were challenging and technical and very beautiful. Our guide Albi B. was amazing. Alibi’s command of English was very impressive and he was easily able to communicate with our group. His knowledge of history and local folklore kept us very informed and entertained. The transfer vehicles were always on time. The local food was farm to table- very fresh and healthy. We had 3 vegetarians in our group and they seemed quite satisfied with their meals. The accommodations were quaint and rustic, as expected, and we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. The tour was a unique way to explore the Albanian alps.
