Excellent experience, highly recommended. I did the TMB 10 day hike with a small group of 7 people on 10th October 2025. Every day a new adventure with news landscapes, a new refuge, new cuisine. Our guide Madeleine was great fun, super informative and friendly. The weather was perfect! A bit of rain in day 1 but otherwise good.

Fabulous week aboard the MS Isidorus. Swimming in crystal clear water and visiting lovely Greek villages. Evia in June was beautiful- the gorge walk was a highlight- not at all crowded and much better value than the more well known islands.

First and foremost we had a most wonderful guide, Jessica. She gave us a rundown daily of what to expect ie: mileage, terrain, history of the area, landmarks. She made sure we were well hydrated during the heat wave. Had numerous bathroom breaks as well as nutrition stops. Jessica was able to negotiate and translate with the locals when we needed her in restaurants and hotels. To me Jessica made the entire trip memorable. She is a ray of sunshine.

A trip like this depends on many factors especially the guide and travel companions. In this case we were so fortunate to have Fabio Giorlando as our exceptional guide. Our travel companions were terrific! The itinerary was varied and interesting. The family run businesses we visited warmly welcomed us and shared their stories and food/wine experiences. The food and restaurant choices were enjoyable. It was very nice that Fabio arranged reservations at restaurants for the meals not covered by the tour making it easy for us to decide whether to eat there or elsewhere (we always ate there and the food and venue were always good.)

The best. It suited me. Lovely walks, lovely food, historical locations, wonderful guide. I loved the local input - visits to the farms, bakery. A visit to a working Truli house would have been a plus ( very touristy visit to Alberobello) and the last walk could have been more varied scenically. Could have stayed much longer in Matera! Altogether it was the best trip I’ve done with Explore. It helped having a lovely group too. Where next?
