All great, except Collette was not great with the communication for the Istanbul extension. The Hagia Sofia visit was cancelled by Collette with no explanation. So our group booked it ourselves. But on arrival it was part of our Collette tour. Not sure what happened.
The “second day” the flight is SUPER early and you have to leave the hotel at 4 am.
That was not communicated anywhere and we didn’t arrive at the hotel u til after 11 pm the night before. It made the morning very difficult!
Also, it would be helpful if there was a place by the day noting if women needed to cover shoulders/knees or men knees. When I was packing and googling, it said that at Kom Ombo (and most of the temples) it was recommended to have shoulder and knees covered, but when we got there I was told we didn’t need it. I had a lot more pants packed then I needed and that would have been helpful to know when I actually needed to wear more conservative clothing or having my hair covered.
Overall the itinerary was good. We saw a lot and had a great guide!
We were on the Steinberger cruise ship - I would not recommend that one again. Very limited. We were on Thai ship with another group from Trafalgar that paid less for the tour and we had no extras. We allowed one drink at dinner and one bottle of water.. anything more we had to pay for. They didn’t have coffee/tea available throughout the day for free. It seemed like they were nickel and diming the guests. I have been on other River cruises and unlimited water, beverages at dinner, and feee coffee/tea throughout the day in the lounge was accessible.

An excellent experience all around. The small tour group combined with active tours was a great fit for us. Our tour manager, Apollonia (Flo) was very knowledgeable and attentive. The activities and impact events were well planned and unique. We really felt like we were getting a great taste of the regions. Our tour group gelled quickly and easily and was just the right size. Our driver was also excellent. The pace of the tour was just right for us with ample opportunity for exploring on our own and in small groups and being together as a whole tour. Instead of staying in hectic tourist areas such as Amalfi, we lodged in nearby quaint towns and drove or took boat shuttles into those busy areas for day trips. I especially liked Matera, Pompeii, and the towns along he Aegean sea. So beautiful and full of interesting history.
A great way to experience Croatia. However, we feel that some of the optional experiences should be INCLUDED (specifically the lunch at the family-owned winery) and a little more time spent in the STON area would have been nice.

So much to see and do! Everything went perfectly. Our tour guide Olga ensured we were well informed and made our scheduled timelines. The guides were a wealth of knowledge and brought history alive as we walked the ancient ruins. This was our first tour with Collette and we couldn't be happier with the choice. We saw so many beautiful areas and had ample time to explore on our own. We've already booked another tour for next year.
