Overall the experience was amazing … as you can check and see we did multiple back to back tours and got an awesome appreciation for the countries and cultures we got to experience. Note there was a 2 week gap in the middle where we travelled with Rovos Rail which contributed to our overall experience but the NatGeo/GAd included village visits etc that allowed us to be up close and personal with people to appreciate their lifestyle.

It was necessary for my daughter and I to miss the last two days of the tour and we received a great deal of help from Explore with making extra arrangements.. Explore provided us with a transfer to the airport in Eswatini and also a tour of Soweto in Johannesburg. The tour provided a variety of habitats, mountain foothills, a coastal environment and game reserves. There was a lot of travelling but the coach was comfortable.

We visit the most southerly point in Africa, venture along the world-renowned Garden Route, the lesser-known Wild Coast and explore the mountainous kingdom of Lesotho. Note: This is one of our Overland Adventures which are run using one of our specialist famous yellow overland expedition trucks.
