Halong Bay is incredibly beautiful, Pu Luong has such fascinating natural scenery and culture, and Hanoi with its vibrant atmosphere and people is something I truly loved. The drivers and guides were friendly and fun to hang out with, and I have no complaints about the accommodations. I’m so happy that I chose this travel operator for this trip. Would I recommend this particular adventure to a friend, in a word no. However I would caveat this with I had a great time and I would definitely recommend G adventures as a tour group and these three countries are definitely worth visiting. It's only a couple of small points that need 'ironing out' which is understandable considering the relatively new itinerary that has been created. Our CEO minty ensured a smooth tour and I suspect that another tour guide would have handled the issues not as effectively. Thank you, G Adventures, for a wonderful once in a lifetime experience.

Discover Laos on this 5-day fully guided journey through the mountains, from ancient sites to traditional villages and into the heart of Laos.
The tour starts in Luang Prabang, where we’ll meet before setting off on Route 13 through the highlands and breathtaking scenery to Phonsavanh, where we’ll visit the Plain of Jars, explore authentic local markets, see numerous traditional Hmong and Khmu hill-tribe villages and tour the MAG visitor center. We'll make our way to the magnificent Kong Lor cave where we'll take a tiny boat and follow the river through the 8-kilometer cave through the mountain, before continuing on to Vientiane Capital.

The accommodation was just as advertised, the boat was very well presented, clean and excellent facilities. Very pleased with the room. I woke up on the second morning to find they had been up all night and replaced the carpets in some of the public areas!!?
The dining area was a lovely place to sit and eat, the food was fabulous, and lots of it too.
You kind of expect good service, but the staff on board were exceptional and such good fun too, singing and dancing behind the bar 🙂 Tequila (his name!) went out of his way to make sure everything was alright.
I would definitely recommend this trip and also for 2 days. The second day is full of things to do and you're also away from the really busy tourist bits that can only sail so far for one night onboard. I will book again when I return, its fabulous.
