This was my first trip with this travel specialist and my first time in Cuba and I had an awesome time that I would not mind doing a tour with them again. Normally, I would explore countries on my own and would only do a day tour if I feel like it. With the way the agency designed Beautiful Cuba, you have the best both worlds. You have guides to take you around and discuss history, culture, etc. but you are given sufficient time to go around the town on your own and explore the area. The guides were very informative and accommodating (showed us the night life) and our driver was very careful on the road. I would suggest though for the casa particulares to have internet because some of my tour mates failed to get Cubacel SIM card but needed to get in touch with their families and friends. A car who was supposed to pick me up in the airport failed to put my name on the placard which is very important so I hired a cab on my way to the casa particulares. However, after the initial stress, everything else went smoothly.
We had a great group of mixed ages and nationalities; an excellent guide and driver and stayed in some fascinating places along the way. All the G adventures organisation was very good. No complaints!
From Cuba's historical streets to the shores of the Caribbean, you'll stroll through UNESCO World Heritage-listed cities, learn about a fascinating history and experience the music and dance culture Cuba's renowned for. Dive into the incredible marine world and history of the Bay of Pigs, discover Baracoa’s mountainous surrounds, visit the birthplace of salsa and admire Trinidad on this two-week adventure. From historic cars to fragrant cigars, and with plenty of rum and rumba in between, this adventure will take you into the heart of all things Cuban.
Pabulous
What a wonderful adventurous trip, Cuba is an amazing place to visit and G adventures once again put on a wonderful tour. Pablo our guide was class, wonderful sense of humour, open minded, informative and friendly. He helped us with food choices, dishes, translated when needed from locals asking us questions to shopping to locals talking about their everyday life. The journey around Cuba was informative, the power cuts or limited if any wifi nor the lack of hot water or water pressure did not take away from the experience. The local Casas were always comfortable and safe to stay in, with friendly hosts. The sites and sounds were excellent, with music every night for dinner, the scenery is beautiful and the cigar making is a must see. One piece of advice, only change a small amount of USD or EUR (50
Or 100 at most) to pesos and then use this as tip etc, it?s easier and more cost effective to pay in USD or EUR, everywhere accepts those currencies, the reason is the peso exchange rate varies dramatically from place to place, shop to shop, restaurant to restaurant, dodgy guy to dodgy guy in street. Card usage are basically non existant so don?t really on using them now using local atms. Overall epic journey and another wonderful with Gadventures.
Absolutely life changing!! Thank you!! I experienced so much more than I expected, I learned so much more and I made some amazing friends. I am truly changed and I?m so appreciative of this tour!
This Premium adventure through Cuba takes you through colourful architecture, vast beaches and lush countryside. The colourful local history still dominates most aspects of daily life, and you’ll explore Havana in all its faded glory. See the beauty of rural Vinales, wander the cobblestoned streets of Trinidad and soak up the coastal vibe of Cienfuegos. Visit the home of a local family for dinner, learn some salsa moves and hop in a classic American car for a real Cuban experience.
The tour Cuba Libre despite of a very difficult economic situation in the country is a fantastic way not only of enjoying the hiking, sightseeing and resting but a very good way on reflection on the past, present and the future of the country. Thanks to fantastic guide Alberto and remarkable driver Renee, we were able to see the whole country. The guides in mountain left us with absolutely unbelievable knowledge about the nature and history of Cuba. Alex was able to attract the national bird so we could even be able to take a picture of it. I would recommend this tour to everybody who are looking for adventure and have interest in history, nature and people of Cuba. This is the country where people live in rich natural beauty along the one of the most fascinated history.
The trip was very enjoyable. It gave a good insight into how the country operates. The tour guide was excellent, he was very helpful and friendly and was gave lots of interesting information about the country.
The country seemed very safe.
The coach and driver used for the trip were both of a high standard.
All of the people we met were very friendly as well.
You do need to go with an expectation that some of the infrastructure does not operate as you would be used to in other countries. There may not be electricity or water for a few hours each day. The hotels and guest houses are not the same standard as at home.
We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food we head. The choices available were fairly limited but all of the meals we had were very enjoyable. The food was fresh and cooked to a high standard.
Paying for things in restaurants and shops was confusing but you soon get used to how things work and adapt. Take cash with you in euros or dollars and do expect to be able to use credit cards.
We would definitely recommend the trip but just go with a relaxed attitude and take things as they come.
Thoroughly enjoyed Cycle Cuba, the country and people are amazing.
The cycling and activities were fantastic with a knowledgeable and friendly tour leader ably supported by the mechanic and driver
Ycel our tour leader was exceptional, very knowledgeable about Cuba's history and very organised! Due to a hurricane we have to move Casa's but there was no problem at all and the issue was dealt with at short notice. Cuba is such a beautiful island and the Vinales region is in particularly special. As a group we would have all liked to stay overnight here and spend some more time here. We definitely got to experience life as the locals do and experienced numerous blackouts , added with a hurricane that knocked out the power for 2 days across the whole island! Despite this the locals are so resilient , welcoming and are happy to help. Our itinerary might not have gone entirely to plan due to things being closed due to the Hurricane but this in no way affected us thoroughly enjoying our holiday.
Both the tour leader, Ernesto, and the bus driver, were exceptional. Ernesto was one of the best tour leaders we have ever had, full of information and always helpful. Bus driver was a very safe driver, and also engaged with the tour group.
