See how the local enjoy their dinner, what their kitchen looks like, and also witness some customs during the meal: the children need to invite the elders before eating and after finishing meal, you will be shown how to use chopsticks in the traditional manner, and how to put chopsticks to express that we finished meal. 7.30-8.00 am: you will be picked up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter and be transferred by van to Mai Chau.
On the way, you will admire the incredibly beautiful landscapes and countryside villages.
Around 10.a.m, you will have a short break before taking some incredible photos of Mai Chau Valley.
Around 12:15, you will have time for lunch featuring traditional dishes in a local village (vegetarian also available)
After lunch, you will join in a bicycle ride with local tour guide, to observe farmers working in farms, weaving scarves as well as to explore the surrounding peaceful villages.
Finally, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
This is an excellent itinerary for first-time travelers to Vietnam. Initially, I assumed that the itinerary was too tight and that we would not have enough time to adequately explore all of the locations we visited, but this was not the case. We were overjoyed and pleased with everything we saw, ate, drunk, and relaxed while on this trip:) Sapa was especially peaceful. Hoi An was highly suggested as a place to stay as well as a city to buy souvenirs and eat/drink.
