Simple stays with essential amenities. Typically guesthouses, hostels or hotels rated below 3 stars — clean, no-frills, and great for value-conscious travelers.
Comfortable and reliable 3-star stays. Expect private rooms, en-suite bathrooms, and solid amenities — a great balance between comfort and cost.
Upscale 4-5 star hotels and lodges. Enjoy high-end service, refined comfort, and premium locations — ideal for travelers seeking extra indulgence.
Nearly everything was done to a high standard. The criticisms I had amount to:
1. One hotel did not offer tea/coffee/kettle in the room
2. English language rolling news channels not available in every hotel
3. Local guides need to speak slower, pay attention to pronunciation and cut back just a little on factual info presented
4. Overnight stay in Yurt should be cut from the schedule to leave more time in Samarkand or Tashkent. The Yurt stay seemed staged and inauthentic, sleeping quarters were noisy and food was basic. No coffee was offered.
Step onto the storied Silk Road and discover Uzbekistan’s rich tapestry of history, color, and hospitality on this 12-day group tour. Starting and ending in Tashkent, you’ll explore ancient cities filled with storybook architecture and bustling bazaars, where every corner reveals a new flavor or tale. Tailored for experienced travelers, the itinerary promises moderate activity: strolls through ornate squares, sampling local cuisine, and plenty of time to connect with fellow solo explorers.
The unique selling point? This isn’t just a sightseeing tour — it’s an invitation to form lasting bonds with your travel group while diving deep into Uzbekistan’s culture, creating memories as vivid and unique as the region itself.
Ever daydreamed about stepping back in time? Picture yourself wandering ancient cities built as early as 700 BCE, passing through tiled archways once crossed by Silk Road traders, and bargaining in markets that have stood for centuries. This 12-day adventure through Uzbekistan and Tajikistan takes you deep into the heart of Central Asia — where living history, breathtaking landscapes, and off-the-beaten-path charm come together for one unforgettable trip.
