I am glad to say that I did the Dolpo after a few friends recommended me. Booking with the operator was an easy process and they replied to all my queries on email instantly. I didn't know what to do and when they suggested that I do this trek based on my interest, I blindly trusted them on this tour. And I should say, I made no mistake with that. My guide was informative and responsive to all my needs and wellness. Everything went beyond my expectation right from the moment I was given a warm welcome in the airport until the time I got back home. This 18-day, guided tour takes you to two of the most important highlights in the Everest region, Everest Base Camp and the Gokyo Lakes. See the soaring Himalayas, massive glaciers and glistening bodies of water perched amid snow-covered peaks, all in less than three weeks. Your journey to the base camp of the world's highest mountain kicks off on Day 2 with a flight to Lukla.
Follow the Dudh Kosi River as you head up to Everest Base Camp via Namche Bazaar, Tyangboche, Dingboche and other popular locations in the Khumbu region. Reach the base camp on Day 9 and enjoy a sunrise view of some of the highest mountains in the world from Kala Patthar the next morning. Head for the Gokyo Lakes next via the formidable Cho La Pass.
You will spend two days exploring some of the six glistening bodies of water that together form the Gokyo Lakes. After that, it is a downhill journey to Lukla via Dole and Namche. Fly back to Kathmandu on the second last day of this trip.

This trip starts in Kathmandu where we will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the airport for a short flight to Lukla (2,827 meters). Your journey from Lukla initially follows the route to Everest Base Camp as it travels to Namche Bazaar via Phakding.
Spend a day in Namche, acclimatising and preparing for the journey. Then head for Pangboche via Phortse. Travel through lush forests, past mani walls and via quaint Sherpa villages where time seems to have come to a halt. Take the trail that goes from Pangboche to Ama Dablam Base Camp. See Mount Ama Dablam as well as Lhotse, Nuptse and Pumori mountains in close proximity as well as Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world, that is positioned between Mount Lhotse and Mount Nuptse.
Start your journey downhill along the same trail and catch your flight to Kathmandu from Lukla. Your trip comes to an end on arrival in the capital city.

I had seen Everest from more angles and vistas that I could have thought possible, far surpassing views from any trek.
As we flew back and the Himalayan mountains faded into the distance, I had a feeling of gratitude, all thanks to the wonderful staff at this company for providing such an amazing opportunity as part of my trip to Nepal. This is going to be the most cherished travel memories!

Your adventure to the base camp begins with a rather scary flight to the mountain airstrip of Lukla, at 2,800m elevation, and passes through the picturesque Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar to reach Gorakshep.
The high point of this journey is the ascent of Kala Patthar (5,500m) from where you can soak up stupendous views of Mount Everest and its surrounding peaks. You will spend most of the trek above the elevation of 3,000 meters in Khumbu and Imja valleys, whose skyline is dominated by the massive peaks of the Eastern Himalayas.
