A very busy itinerary in which we saw and walked some of the Greek islands, however at any point there were options to arrange to do your ‘own thing’. As a guide overall we walked 125km throughout the whole holiday.
The guide tells you so much which makes the trips so much more interesting and enjoyable. Some of the optional trips are chargeable.
The hotels were varied but all were clean. The breakfasts were adequate and were the same in most hotels. With such a busy schedule you need a good sleep but we did find the mattresses were too firm for us, waking with a few aches and pains!
Bennie was a great guide, he loves his country and was keen to show us all why, this included his love for food and plants.
He took into account the weather and people’s level of fitness to make the experience the most enjoyable.
We had a really good experience on the Zaanse Schans tour with Derek and Pieter. The tour operator were very friendly and organised when getting us signed in at the meeting point, the tour bus had decent space and good AC. Derek was very knowledgeable and spoke at a good pace, so we learnt quite a lot on the trip. Our tour was done in English and Spanish (even the Delft factory has Spanish audio guides). There was a lot to see so not much time for photo stops but plenty of toilet breaks throughout.
I greatly enjoyed walking the Camino between Logroño and León (continuing from where I stopped last year). People had told me this central stretch is boring, but I didn't find it so. They did a great job of arranging hotel bookings and luggage transport. I can't wait to go back and complete the final section.
My sister and I used them to set up a self-guided walking tour in the Austrian Salzburg Lake District. They had multiple options and we had no issue finding one that fit our schedule and walking goals. Communication was clear and we felt well-taken care of. We would definitely use them again for our next adventure!
Great trip that we thoroughly enjoyed. The programme leaves little free time, so to maximise sight-seeing it is full-on. Trip to natural park is a nice break at the right time. We visited end Aug / early Sept, where the heat builds up (to 36 C) in the afternoon, but less crowded. Food was outstanding (try tapas), but hostels basic. Buses are good and did the job, but make sure to pre-book some optional trips, such as cathedral rooftop in Seville. Alcazar in Corboda as good. Worth booking extra night in Seville, but you might to go for a bit of luxury in choice of the hotel.
The trip, Walking in Ardeche, was a great experience. This area of France is truly a hidden gem. All of the hikes were well planned
and our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the area as well as plants, trees and birds. The accommodations were excellent with great food and very comfortable rooms. I would highly recommend this trip.
