This trip was suggested to me by a friend, but as an 83 year-old who ‘peaked’ more than 10 years ago I had some reservations about going on it. However, my fears were put to rest when I saw that the same hotel was used before and after the most challenging stage – the 14-mile final stretch of the northern trail, including the crossing of Mount Pantokrater. But in the event, although the terrain is hilly with some steep climbs I didn’t find any of the walking particularly difficult. It helped that a lot of the journey was on shady woodland tracks. Mt Pantokrator was quite an easy climb, the only challenge being the length of the day and the distance.
Not having visited Corfu before I found it a fascinating place, and have many vivid memories of the trip. We were fortunate to have, in Spiros, a leader who was very knowledgeable about local history, politics and wildlife. He worked very hard to make the holiday enjoyable for us, including leading us on a beautiful coastal walk to Kassiopi on the free day. I only wish I had discovered the island earlier so that I could walk the southern section as well.

Highly recommend this company and our tour guide Laura, it's the best spent in Nice, it's so much fun wandering around with the segway in Old Nice, Laura speaks multiple languages well and very knowledgeable. She started with very professional teaching session of using the segway, which is not hard at all. Then we visited all different tourist spots in Old Nice, then we went up to the top of castle hill with the segway to see the most stunning view, you can see the full picture of Nice, and save you walking under the heat all the way up. We had our best time with Laura. More than 5 stars if I could give out.

Our tour with Hind was great, she explained everything to us and gave us a lesson before we left. She also explained the historical aspects of Nice as we were riding around. Would definitely recommend it!!

Very well organised trip. Logistics were excellent, accommodation was comfortable and central to all amenities of the towns. Hike maps and notes were extremely detailed. I would highly recommend them and am considering another trip in the near future.

We had a great guide and I loved each of the capitals. Great breakfasts in the hotels, which were all well located. My fellow travelers could not have been better. My only minor complain is that this was a cycling trip without too much cycling. I hoped to make up for that by doing the optional rides, only to learn that one of them was considered rather dangerous.

Hands down the best known trek in Iceland. This trail takes adventurers from the geothermal valley of Landmannalaugar and the southern highlands, over the southern highlands to the Þórsmörk valley, at the foot of world famous Eyjafjallajökull volcano. The trail crosses many spectacles including the third biggest geothermal zone in the world, through yellow rhyolite mountains, over black deserts, past great canyons and finally into the verdurous valley of Þórsmörk. It is no coincidence that the “Laugavegur” hike each year attracts travellers from around the world in addition to being a great favourite amongst locals. Come see what all the fuss is about!Trekking: 5 daysWalking per day: 4-7 hoursTotal walking distance: 56 km. (35 miles)Altitude: 200-1100 m. (650-3600 feet)Maximum Ascent: 600 m. (1900 feet) Day 1: Reykjavík - Landmannalaugar - Hrafntinnusker. We take the scheduled bus from the BSI bus terminal at 07:00, that during the summer months drives the mountain tracks that lead to Landmannalaugar, passing by the Hekla volcano and other volcanoes in the Dómadalur area. In the afternoon we arrive at Álftavatn hut where we stay the night.Day 3: Álftavatn - Emstrur. We pass at the foot of the green conic volcano of Stórasúla before entering the black deserts of Mælifellssandur. Before arriving at the Botnar hut where we stay the night, we visit the magnificent Markarfljót canyon cut almost 200 m down into the rocks south of Hattfell.Day 4: Emstrur - Þórsmörk.We continue up and down through the small valleys and gullies of Emstrur, where the great Mýrdalsjökull glacier rises only a couple of kilometers away.
