On this nine-day wildlife journey, you’ll explore the epic game parks of Southern Africa. Start in Victoria Falls, where in your free time, you can experience the thunderous falls however you like. Then, head to Hwange National Park, known for its elephant population, and Matobo National Park to track rhinos and learn about the local San people and their culture. Take game drives, look out for all the big cats and then spend some time in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Mapungubwe National Park. Visit a 13th-century grave site and head out on a night safari to see some nocturnal wildlife that doesn’t come out while the sun’s up! Finally, you’ll go in search of lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and the African buffalo in the famous Kruger National Park.
Watching a sunrise over the wide-open plains of the Serengeti is one of those ‘pinch me’ moments, and on this nine-day, it won’t be the only one. Beginning in Nairobi, take a trip into the countryside to Mto wa Mbu, get a safari fix in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, change up the altitude with walks around the Usambara Mountains and ferry to Zanzibar’s white-sand beaches and intriguing Old Town. This east Africa adventure will leave you with a greater appreciation of the stunning beauty of this part of the world and the people and wildlife that call it home.

On this 11-day adventure, you’ll cruise through the savannah in overland trucks (hello, sky-high views), exploring East Africa’s most iconic national parks - Serengeti, Amboseli, Maasai Mara, Ngorongoro Crater and more. Plus, you’ll ramp up the adrenaline with mountain biking, white-water rafting & ziplining. And top it all off with a hot air balloon ride over the plains and a visit to a local village for a cultural deep dive you’ll never forget.
You'd think any trip that kicks off somewhere as spectacular as Victoria Falls probably has some pretty big adventures tucked up its sleeve. And you'd be right. After marvelling at the 'smoke that thunders', this Mother Nature extravaganza takes you (and your 35-45s crew) to Chobe. Here, you'll have a unique chance to camp in the African bush, gazing up at the endless stars. After enjoying some included game drives (and getting some perspective-bending pics at the insane Makgadikgadi Salt Pans), it's onto the Okavango Delta for more camping and some of the best wildlife-spotting opportunities in the world.
Our Cape to Victoria Falls was an amazing adventure, a tremendous way to be introduced to the hidden gems of South Africa, Namibia and Botswana. The tour was made more spectacular by our tour guides, their knowledge and ability to cater for our every wish and need, some we didn't even recognise ourselves. Great and varied accommodation, exciting, adventurous and challenging experiences. Constantly awakened senses. Why did I wait so long to visit Southern Africa? My recommendation, don't delay.

Excellent tour where close encounters with a variety of animals, most notably Mountain Gorillas, are virtually guaranteed (with all the planning involved, you'd be extremely unlucky not to see Gorillas in Bwindi).
On the tour you also find out about the efforts made in conserving these rare animals and how that sometimes impacts on the human residents in the area both positively and negatively. The formation of several community groups, particularly focused on providing education and sustainable employment, particularly for women, is also shown

There's time to visit the spectacular Victoria Falls before crossing in Botswana to spot an abundance of wildlife in Chobe National Park and watch the sunset over the Makgadikgadi Pans. Then it's onto South Africa to view Kaoxa Bushman paintings, see the spectacular Blyde River Canyon and search for the Big Five on game drives in Kruger National Park.
This was an amazing experience. Most of the accommodation was excellent, however, the house boat on the delta was not the one mentioned in our final itinerary, and the rooms were very small, however the staff on board were excellent and looked after us well producing excellent food in a tiny kitchen. The staff at Batonka lodge in Victoria Falls deserve a special mention too. Travel was via an open sided vehicle which was excellent for viewing animals but got very cold and blustery on the two days of long journeys, make sure you bring warm clothing, gloves and a scarf or mask to prevent breathing in dust. There were two long travel days, particularly the day traveling through Namibia, the border crossing took longer than expected due to the introduction of a required visa a few months earlier. An extra night slotted in Namiba would have taken the pressure off. I cannot fault our guide/driver Phenyo, his ability to spot wildlife was extraordinary, he was so knowledgeable about every bird and animal we saw and had an excellent understanding of animal behavior which he passed on. He looked after us from start to finish and was always so positive.
I chose this trip for the wildlife abs it did not disappoint, from a pack of hyenas eating a dead elephant to a leopard resting, multiple lions and what seemed like hundreds of giraffes and elephants to mongooses and even honey badgers. The optional boat trip at Chobe was another highlight. If you like wildlife then this is the trip for you. I loved every minute.
