The entire trip was wonderful. I’m unable to single out just one city or experience because I enjoyed it all equally. I signed up for every optional experience and was not disappointed. I loved the ruins and the history from both our tour director and the specialists brought on in various areas.

Explore the stunning country of Ireland on this 8-day self-drive tour. Beginning in Dublin, guests will spend the first two nights at the Clontarf Castle hotel, parts of which date back to the year 1172 offering the perfect blend of a boutique and luxury hotel. After experiencing the vibrant city of Dublin, you will then drive west through the stunning countryside to County Galway, for two nights in the charming Abbeyglen Castle Hotel, nestled in the romantic setting of the Twelve Bens with beautiful views overlooking Clifden Bay. Enjoy exploring the beautiful Connemara region, before heading south through County Clare “the land of castles” to County Kerry. The following two nights will be spent at Ballyseede Castle, with a history dating back to the 1590’s, from here you can explore the Dingle Peninsula and perhaps take a trip to the unspoilt Blasket Islands. Enjoyed this trip and all the optional choices. Weather couldn't have been better. Food was good. Free time and tour experiences were nicely balanced.
Tour Guide and Bus Driver was great. I was traveling solo and felt safe.
The one thing that could have gone better, was accommodations. The Leonardo Hotel in Cardiff and Liverpool was not a good experience. The room was not clean, carpet, window treatments and furniture was old and in bad repair.

It was a great experience. I would’ve never seen any of the sites on my own that we saw on the bus if we go again, I know the sites I want to spend more time.
