My only critique is that we should have been provided more information on the difficulties with using credit cards and ATM’s in China and the prevalent use of cash only. I have traveled to 55 countries & never had difficulty using credit cards & ATM’s until China. Most places wouldn’t take US Visa or Mastercard & ATM’s wouldn’t give me Chinses yen

Walking on the Great Wall far exceeded my expectations. The photos in magazines do not compare to the magnitude of actually seeing the Wall in person as it extends for hundreds of miles in many directions spanning numerous ridges. It is an engineering marvel. My guide, Olly was outstanding. His knowledge, sense of humor and overall company contributed to my excellent experience on this trip. This action-packed tour of Chengdu starts off with the first highlight - the Dujiangyan Panda Valley. The famous Panda centre offers refuge and doting for these magnificent, rare animals with rearing and breeding programmes. These giant pandas are the symbol of China, and the research centre provides education and raises awareness of the plight of these great creatures and their environment.
Our tour then moves on to discover the history of two ancient towns. Then it’s on to Mengding Mountain, famous for its tea culture where we take a walk in the Mengdingshan Royal Tea Gardens: a delight with its atmospheric pavilions and walking paths. China’s tea growing history can be traced back to the Western Han Dynasty over 2,000 years ago. Reputed to be the birthplace of Chinese tea cultivation, tea trees planted at Mengding by a herdsman are believed to be the very beginning of China's tea history.
We next visit UNESCO Heritage listed Mount Emei, one of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China and traditionally regarded as a place of enlightenment. The unsurpassed views are one of the great spectacles of Mount Emei and is yet another high point of the tour in all senses of the word! The ride then follows the river to the town of many temples, Leshan. Our last day of the tour takes us on a walk through bamboo forests and to Huang Long Xi, a picturesque town where many Chinese movies have been filmed.

Pickup time from your hotel is at around 9:00am. Drive about 2.5 hours to arrive at the ticket office of Longji Rice Terraces Scenic Area. Continue to the middle of the mountain, where the entrance of the Ping’an Minority village is located, take a trolley car to the top viewing platform of the Longji Rice Terraces famous as “Nine Dragons and Five Tigers”. Then walk along the rice terraces to another sightseeing named “Seven Stars Accompany Moon”.
Continue to walking down into the minority village and lunch rest.
Walk back to our car, drive back to Guilin, enroute, visit another Minority Village famous as “Long hair Yao Village”. Drive back to hotel in Guilin at about 18:00.
Before back to hotel, you are suggested to visit the Reed Flute Cave(1hr) with numerous stalactites and stalagmites in unique shapes and lightened up by artificial colorful light inside.
You are suggested to experience the Night Cruise in Four Lakes around the Guilin City in the evening, which lasts for 1hr and offers the unique night city and lakes‘ view lightened by the colorful lights behind trees, bridges, buildings. You could also have chance to see the fishermen fishing with their cormorants in the third lake-Osmanthus Lake.
