This one-day getaway will take you to the Red Sea for a relaxing time at the beach in El EIn Sohkna. You can swim and enjoy your day on the beach. The beach is around 120 km away from Cairo. This tour includes includes lunch, all pickup and drop off transfers by a private A/C vehicle. The tour starts at 7:00 am when you will be picked by our driver and transferred to El Ein El Sokhna. We will be boarding one of two Mahmya boats, and sail for around one hour to the island. Mahmya Beach is on the southern shores of the Giftun Island National Park off the coast of Hurghada. Mahmya in Arabic means “Protected Area”. To protect the coral reef and its marine inhabitants, the boats moor at buoys off the pristine bay, and you will be taken to the shore by smaller boats. Once you have landed on the island, you are free to snorkel on the impressive coral heads scattered in the clear lagoon, have a walk along the sandy beach, take on other guests at beach volleyball, or just relax on the pure white beach. A free Wi-Fi is also available in the Lounge area on Mahmya Island with Aqua Trampoline for kids. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned each day was packed with incredible sites, but never felt overwhelming. Yes, some days were long, but 100% worth it. Communication was excellent from start to finish. Even mid-trip, we were able to add extra activities on the fly, and the team accommodated us effortlessly. Our guides were outstanding. Michael in Cairo and Giza was extremely knowledgeable and communicated clearly he answered every question with patience and insight. Mohamed, who accompanied us during the Nile Cruise between Luxor and Aswan, was personable, relaxed, and brought the ancient sites to life with his storytelling. The drivers throughout were also fantastic. While most didn’t speak much English, they were consistently punctual, professional, and skilled, even navigating Egypt’s wild traffic with ease and confidence. A quick tip: If you’re on a tighter budget, do a bit of research before booking extra experiences. Some optional add-ons are absolutely worth the cost, while others may be more economical to do independently though we still relied on the company for reliable transport. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience. Everything felt personalized, smooth, and safe. I’m incredibly happy we chose this company I’d recommend them without hesitation to anyone planning a trip to Egypt.
