I booked this trek at quite short notice in September 2018.
My schedule was a bit tight so I had to cut the trip short from the standard 12 days down to 11, but this was no problem for Friends adventure who were able to fit the trek in plus an extra day of whitewater rafting as well.
Hira, my guide, was very helpful, knowledgable and friendly and made sure everything went to plan, so that I managed to make it to Base Camp and Kala Pathar as well (and I'm an unfit 50 year old who hadn't really done enough training).
The trek itself was spectacular and everything I'd hoped it would be.
I would definitely recommend Friends Adventure to anyone planning a trip to Nepal.

Trekking through Upper Mustang was one of the best experiences of my life. The landscapes were the most breathtaking I’ve ever seen, and the cultural experience—monasteries, villages, and local traditions—was unforgettable.

This 15-day trip in Vietnam is surprisingly good! Even though I did a lot of research and watched a ton of videos about the places we were going to visit, Vietnam is still breathtakingly stunning. I really love Hoi An and its charming vibe. I would love to come back and see more of Vietnam. Besides that, I can't thank the team enough for arranging this tour – it was perfect. We embarked on a remarkable two-week journey to Nepal, expertly organized by Mr. Gokul of this tour company. Despite some last-minute changes on our part, he remained incredibly accommodating and patient throughout. Exploring Kathmandu with our knowledgeable tour guide, Siri, was an enriching experience. His insights into the city's vibrant history added depth to our exploration.
Our short but amazing flight to Pokhara was nothing short of unforgettable, thanks to the breathtaking views of mountains and valleys along the way. Mr. Kumar & Botie ( not sure the spelling) were exceptional skills ensured our safety, and the delicious food we enjoyed during the journey, especially the Dal Bhat, left a lasting impression.
Our stay in Pokhara was equally pleasant, with a well-located hotel providing easy access to shops, the lakeside, and various dining options. Exploring temples and cruising on Fewa Lake added to the charm of our visit.
However, the pinnacle of our trip was undoubtedly the journey to Annapurna Base Camp. The awe-inspiring landscapes and towering mountains along the route left us spellbound. We also cross several passes and visit the beautiful YamdrokTso Lake on our trip. Afterwards, drive across the Tibetan highlands and high passes to the fabled Rongphu Monastery and Mt. Everest Base Camp from where the view of the great North face of Mount Everest is the most spectacular of all.

The trip was perfectly managed by Rajendra, the itinerary was very good. Venn our guide and Sandeep our porter were very professional and kind, we had great time together. Venn knows very well the area so he explained to us the mountains, the itinerary, and shared good and interesting conversations about life in Nepal.

I used this local operator for a solo climb expedition of Chulu West in the Annapurna Region (6419m Peak)
Khum and Krishna at the office did a great job in setting everything up and communication during the expedition was easy, fast and efficient.
The logistics were taken care of without any major hiccups.
This expedition is quite an undertaking with setting up both a base camp on around 5000m and a High Camp around 5600m, but everything went smoothly.
The absolut highlight were the guides:
- the general guide Bishnu who knows the Annapurna Area inside out
- the climbing guide LakCha who is extremely competent and knowledgeable about all aspects of high altitude climbing
I cant praise the guides enough and would urge you to request them specifically for any high altitude climbs !
We had a great successful summit day with amazing weather and reached the summit in record time just for sunrise !
I give this operator and Bishnu and LakCha my highest recommendation !
Beautiful country. Amazing tour guides. Enjoyed the scenery, the tours, and the hike to the Tiger's Nest Monastery ( which was the highlight of the trip ). The hotels and the food (all buffet) were good. The tour guide and the driver were spectacular. All of the people I encountered in Bhutan were friendly and welcoming.
