Explore the best of Jaipur in a day with Jaipur Sightseeing full day tour. From Amber Palace to Hawa Mahal and Jal Mahal, this fully guided tour offers a window into Jaipur’s main attractions.
Your tour will start with a visit to the Amber Palace in Devisinghpura. The Amber Fort stands as a magnificent blend of Hindu and Muslim architectural styles. Situated on rugged hills outside Jaipur, this splendid structure, crafted from red sanstone and white marble, promises a captivating experience.
Next, we travel to Panna Meena ka Kund near Amber Fort before heading to Jal Mahal. Situated in the heart of Man Sagar Lake, the Jal Mahal (Water Palace) is a remarkable example of Rajput culture. Originally built in red sandstone, the palace and its surrounding lake were expanded and renovated in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber.
Then, we will visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of wind). This iconic landmark was commissioned by Sawai Pratap Singh. Originally designed for the royal household, the palace features tiered arches with intricate “jali” – latticework screens. Our next stop will be Jaipur’s City Palace. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the City Palace of Jaipur showcases the architectural brilliance of the notable astronomer. Explore the palace and its corners, which once served as the residence of the royal family.
Our final stop is the Jantar Mantar monument. Home to the world’s largest stone sundial, this UNESCO World Heritage site is the largest stone observatory in the world. Then, our representative will drop you off at your hotel, ending the tour.
This is the perfect tour for those who are not keen to rise too early. By the time the sunrise watchers have left the scene you will arrive to appreciate the largest religious monument ever built – Angkor Wat.
Astonishing in the morning or afternoon light you will be able to photograph the temple from across the lotus pond and then continue to explore the many levels and intricately carved galleries.
Your dedicated and knowledgeable guide will provide all the necessary information to bring Angkor times back to life. This is another tick on your “bucket list” and an experience of a lifetime.
After having explored Angkor Wat we will transport your back to your hotel or accommodation in Siem Reap.
At 8.30am your tour guide and car will pick you up from your hotel and will start our tour of Ho Chi Minh City. You will get to know its history and culture by stopping at:
The Reunification Palace - on April 30th, 1975, what the Vietnamese refer to as the 'American War' officially ended when tank number 843 of the North Vietnamese Army crashed through the gates of what was, at the time, the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam
War Remnants Museum - formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes is a poignant display of the futility of war. Some of the black and white photography in the 'Requiem' exhibit is particularly touching and is dedicated to both foreign and Vietnamese journalists and photographers who perished during the conflict.
Notre Dam Cathedral and General Post Office were built around 1877 and 1883 respectively. These two iconic buildings are fine examples of French colonial architecture. Remarkably every stone used in the building of the Notre Dam Cathedral was shipped from France to Vietnam. The Old Post Office is also the country's largest post office.
The Opera House, after the lunch at local restaurant, we take you to see Chinatown and the Chinese market Binh Tay. We then move on to Thien Hau Pagoda, a temple entered through an iron gate and crossing a small courtyard. The roof is decorated with delicately fashioned porcelain figurines expressing themes from Chinese religion and legends. Lanterns and wooden models of Chinese theaters hang over the entrance. Our final stop before taking you back to your hotel is Ben Thanh Market, one of Vietnams largest markets and a real heart beat of Ho Chi Minh culture.
Battambang is the provincial capital of Battambang province and is the second biggest town in Cambodia. However, it still has a very local, un-touristy, provincial atmosphere. On this two-day, small group tour (maximum 10 people), travel to Battambang from Siem Reap or Phnom Penh by local bus.
Enjoy a stroll around the city to explore the town and see the old colonial buildings, including the Governor’s residence and the small museum. Visit the Wat Ek Phnom temple along the Sang Ker River and also visit the 12th-century Prasat Bannon temple where you can enjoy a stunning view over the surrounding plains. A real-life experience on the bamboo train will bring you through the countryside and the local villages. On the second day, catch a local taxi back to Siem Reap.
