You will see beautiful old buildings and many other things on this interesting trip but early May was the wrong time to go this year. We were quite cold most of the time. During our walking tour of Tartu, it even snowed a little. At least we didn't encounter much rain. The hotels are very good, with excellent access to the Old Towns in the three capitals. Explore has changed the hotels that people complained about, I think.

Had two goats ( and ) that made my contiki the best experience possible. The driving and greetings every morning were absolutely phenomenal and the guide yapped so much I gained knowledge of each and every single city:). Which I am super grateful for, I can now offer history lessons to anyone. Nah but seriously an absolute legend who made travelling Europe the ultimate dream. Radiated good vibes every second of the day which allowed me to feel completely safe in countries I’ve never been to. Wonderful trip with our guide Lisa. The itinerary was good, but many long bus rides-which is necessary to cover mainland Greece and get in as much as we did in 7 full days. Would have loved to have an overnight stay in Nafplio. Enjoyed staying in hotels within walking distance to the towns-made it really easy to just go during free times. The dinner buffets at the hotels were not my favorite but understand why since a couple nights we were getting into the hotels late due to traveling. Kalabaka and Meteora were a highlight for me. The Olive Farm and Cooking night were wonderful. Both the Santorini and Mykonos stays were wonderful. The optional catamaran excursion on Santorini was great.

This tour is the BEST way to see all the infamous spots in Italy, plus local hidden gems, at a reasonable cost and if you are short on time (we had a school break time limitation). It covered everything! We budgeted for the add-ons, especially those with meals, but you could choose to have more free time if you wanted. The food was extraordinary, the bus was roomy and immaculately clean, our driver Antonello was superb, and our Travel Director Anneleis was amazing! She was so talented at integrating the tour highlights, guests, keeping it fun even in the rainy weather, knowledgeable, and able to troubleshoot anything to ensure we had the best experience of a lifetime!! I would love to go back and explore Southern Italy next. The hotels were elegant (only one was just "OK" only because it was in need of some renovations) and the service with our luggage, tipping, etc. was seamless. I highly recommend the Italian Intermezzo tour and Insight Vacations. Favoloso!
