Africa Small Group Tours: Highlights Of Morocco

Highlights of Morocco

4.6
The tour is described as ‘full on’, which is an understatement. An incredible amount of sights and experiences is crammed into the week of travel; it’s exhausting and exhilarating. Moorish architecture, Roman mosaics, snowy mountains, the Sahara desert, souks and camels and macaques. Amazing.

This was a gruelling and awesome trek for me to celebrate 1 year since breast cancer surgery. The tour guides were fantastic. The chef produced the most amazing meals in the middle of nowhere. Be realistic about what to expect regarding mountain accommodation and facilities! the Explore description was pretty accurate. For me hiking poles were a necessity. I couldn’t have got back down without them. My knees were quite shot by the end of it but I wouldn’t change it for anything.

This was an excellent tour that never disappointed. While the tour was rated full on and we were busy, it never felt rushed or pressured. It definitely lives up to it's name, a great representation of the variety that is South Africa.

This is varied tour covering cities, villages, historical sites, mountains, deserts and seaside. The tour was made even better by an excellent guide who clearly explained the history, geography and geology of ehat we saw. It is ideal for those who like busy holidays.

Excellent trip in general. Only negative points for me were that some accommodation was a little tired, the mosque is destroyed but still on the agenda, the argon oil sales trip was a waste of time and there could have been less driving. But many more positives than negatives

Africa Small Group Tours: The Ivory Coast

If one were to pay heed to the Government's advice re. travelling in West Africa , one would probably not end up in Cote d'Ivoire. However this is one of the most beautiful countries to visit , mainly because of the wonderful local people who are ultra friendly. The Explore trip was a quality cultural experience which covered many facets of life in this truly unique country. The cuisine has an emphasis on wholesome food with a touch of spice in most dishes. A country to put on your menu!

Africa Small Group Tours: Senegal And The Gambia

I enjoyed the tour , the bird life was prolific other sightings included Hippos , Crocodiles and dolphins. I found the House of Slaves , on the island of Goree , fascinating . Trying the local food was interesting. The standard of hotels was pretty good , some better than others , I always had a decent bed , rooms clean & tidy , decent shower, hot water could be a bit erratic but you have to remember where you are. Breakfasts I thought were always good. We were blessed with probably the best tour guide I have ever had - Mr Assan Saine. He always ensured and went out of his way to make everyone's trip a positive experience. Assan is also a very good birdwatcher. the driver - Serin - also deserves a shout out, driving over 3000 km very skilfully and carefully. I changed about 200 Euros and still had money left over , meals in restaurants were reasonable . If you aren't a birdwatcher or have an interest in birdlife this tour might not be for you, as its very much focused on that. I thought the tour was well organised , transfers to and from the airport were excellent.

This is a very nice tour. We visited some really isolated communities that you would not be able to find on your own. There are long drives but it’s worth it because you see a lot. The accommodation is basic most of the time but this is because the countries are so poor. You will need to shift your mindset and enjoy seeing very extreme and extraordinary practices like fire eating men and amazing mask dance performances. The guides were excellent. Always there to help out and genuinely interested in making the trip worthwhile. Thank you for an amazing experience.
