My room mate and I made the decision to embark on this adventure, and we both agree that it was without a doubt the most memorable experience of our lives. Mohamed, our tour guide, was really kind and helpful during our time together, and he took very good care of us. The desert is a breathtaking and beautiful place to visit. The accommodations were wonderful, and they even had a pool. Along the route, there were a number of rest spots with restrooms and refreshment areas . We had a great time participating in the many outdoor activities that were available, particularly the horseback riding, hiking, and quad biking. I highly recommend them!
It was my first G-Adventures trip. I had an incredible two weeks traveling Egypt. We had a great group of people lead by a great CEO, and we saw and did so many amazing things. I had a fulfilling experience. So happy I went. I plan on traveling with G-Adventures again in the future.

The trip was very well planned and executed. We really enjoyed hotels that the local travel specialist chose for us. The driver was very knowledgeable, kind and professional, we always felt safe with him. Highlights were numerous, but Sahara probably stands out as an exceptional experience.
I have used them twice now, and both times have been amazing. The first time was for my honeymoon in Thailand and Cambodia (2017). We were able to tailor everything to our needs and even upgraded to fancier hotels and excursions we wanted without an issue. All the guides were wonderful and everything was seamless. The second time we went to Peru/Bolivia (2019), which was new to them at the time. They put together a wonderful trip that had only very minor hiccups - a couple of times we had to reach out to figure out who our guide was for the next day and get pick up times, or our guide info was incorrect. This was all due to them not having planned trips in South America yet, so it was a learning curve for them. They have since added basically our trip to their website. All in all, I will absolutely keep using them for our trips.
Definitely would recommend this trip. All the games drive was amazing seen loads of animals. Safari was on my bucket list for a long time and to do it was amazing.

We spent 2 weeks (April 2023) of dreams with the route offered by this travel specialist in southern Ethiopia.
Accompanied by an excellent driver with a very comfortable 4x4 car and a guide fluent in English and French and rich in very broad knowledge of his country, its history, the many different tribes, the fauna, religions, different climates, climate, a real walking bible! We shared 10 days with these two very nice people and the many exchanges were friendly. A delight.
We particularly liked the visits to the different tribes (Dorze, Mursi, Karo, Arbore, Hamer, Sidama and others) where we could share the preparation and their meal, the coffee ceremonies and even their dances.
The different lodges for the night were all of very good quality and we really regret that actually only few tourists choose to travel through this beautiful country and its many ethnic groups so different and happy to share their daily life.
Betty and Yaye prepared our journeys over 10 days and we had only very good surprises, everything far exceeded our initial expectations.
Thanks again to Hailu and Fisch for allowing us to find ourselves in a different world, poor but very humble and welcoming.

I thought it might be useful to give a little more info about the walking on this trip as I was very concerned I had bitten off more than I could chew.
I am nearly 73, fit , for my age, woman. Used to walking but I live in Essex so am not used to hills!
I have walked in Vietnam and Georgia in the past 18 months however this trip was much more of a challenge because of altitude and heat. I was the oldest in the group of 11 with the youngest at 22(!)
Whilst three of the group reached the peak a good hour ahead and two turned back the rest of us all succeeded. It was challenging however if I can do it others can!! Very tough on knees and my advice is to get your cardio up to scratch and go for it!
Overall a fantastic trip with excellent walking, very basic camping, great food and Hery a wonderful, caring guide.

This trip was both adventurous and relaxing. The amazing game drives were capped off by returning to very comfortable, mostly luxurious, accommodations with delicious food and pools set amongst wildlife and nature. This was a trip I enjoyed very much. Besides seeing many natural wonders, we also got a lovely tour leader Hery. No matter when and where we needed his help, he was always there available. He tried his hardest to let’s get the best from this trip in every aspect in Madagascar. He far saw the problems and prepared solutions in advance for them to make our trip possibly smoother. To the end he prepared a list of animals, insects, and plants we encountered, to enhance our knowledge and memory about the trip. Our driver and his assistant were very professional as well. The bus was always clean. They did their best to drive us safely and efficiently under the bad road conditions. I deeply appreciate their efforts.
