My overall experience on this tour was absolutely amazing, and I highly recommend it. The guide Abdul, the driver Arabic, and the group truly made the trip exceptional. I would even consider this one of the best trips I?ve ever taken. That said, my only recommendation is to improve the accommodations. The hotel in Fez was very disappointing, and the location of the hotel in Marrakech could be better. Including a riad experience would significantly enhance the overall experience.

Great itinerary. I saw what I wanted to see. A bit hectic for a few days, waking up very early to catch a flight to Aswan then wake up early again to drive to Abu Simbel. But has a morning rest on the 3rd day and then 2 days rest in Hurghada. It was too cold to do much water activities. Hurghada accomodation is great with free drinks. Really enjoyed the tour with great group and tour guides.

Mixture of hotels as per say with Explore, from full electricity to an African Hut lit by candle light. Please note accommodation is very basic compared to Western standards which Assan stressed to the group on the first day of the trip. As mentioned in the itinerary there is a heavy emphasis on the bird life and the majority of trips are geared towards the birds. If birds are your thing then this is a trip for you. The guide Assan is an excellent & enthusiastic birder with a comprehensive knowledge of the birds from The Gambia & Senegal. Assan is a very open and honest guide & will relay his personal experiences of his own village life in The Gambia. Driver Cering was excellent & ensured we were all safe & comfy on the long journeys on the bumpy African roads. Bottled was provided on the bus along with regular local fruits. Food wise, a lot of enthesis on fish cooked and served whole. I am a vegetarian non fish eating and with help from Assan I never went hungry. Local children enjoyed the sweets the group brought from the U.K.

I almost didn’t book this trip, thinking I’d be “too old for a cruise tour” or that it would be rushed, crowded, or filled with too much sightseeing and not enough space to breathe. But let me tell you, this tour completely changed my mind. It wasn’t just doable it was deeply enjoyable. Everything was thoughtfully organized, accessible, and paced just right for someone like me in my early 60s who still loves to explore but isn’t looking to be on the go from dawn to dusk without a pause. We traveled as a group yes but it never felt like we were being shuffled from one place to the next. There was enough structure to feel secure and taken care of but also these little pockets of stillness that I didn’t expect... a quiet cup of coffee on the cruise deck while the Nile slowly moved past even a moment of meditation I did on my own by the river. Those little moments made all the difference. The temples were something else. Edfu and Philae in particular struck me, not just because of their size or detail, but their presence. There’s a certain quiet power in these places that you only feel by standing there in person. And then of course the Grand Pyramids. I thought I’d seen them already in books and documentaries, but being there… it gave me chills. There’s something about seeing them up close that stirs something ancient and humbling in you. I came home with more than just photos...I came back with a sense of connection to something much bigger than myself. This tour wasn’t just a vacation. It was an experience that touched me deeply, at just the right pace, and reminded me that it’s never too late to feel wonder again.

We’re both in our 60s and loved the concept of seeing iconic cities in one tour. Highlights for us were Cape Town and Agra, very well organized with knowledgeable guides. The early morning flights and long transfers were tiring, and there wasn’t much time to unpack before moving again. That said, we met lovely people and learned so much. We just wish we had more time in Singapore. They handled logistics impressively for such a big tour. Would recommend for flexible, energetic travelers.
