Baltic Walking Tour Reviews

The Tour du Mont Blanc is an iconic trek and was a fantastic experience with treks in France , Italy and Switzerland as we circled the Mont Blanc area. 10 days of long walks with large ascents and descents often on difficult terrain. Camping adds its own challenges . 3 rest days were useful to recover and have opportunity to explore courmayeur and Chamonix . Overall a great trip and would recommend it
Well-organised itinerary and manageable walks - just right for us. Having a single hotel (rather than moving around) was good. The tour guide - Richie Holding - was outstanding. He was informative, friendly and accommodating. For us, the best day was the walk on Westray to the seabird colonies (especially the puffins).
Hotels in Albania were of a good standard, with breakfasts much better than expected. Explore’s local trip leader, Tedi and driver Fati looked after all aspects of the trip, with Tedi informative, enthusiastic and helpful throughout and Fati driving considerately on challenging roads and packing & unpacking luggage of 16 on a daily basis. All in all an excellent introduction to history, archeology, culture and nature of southern Albania. Thanks to Tedi & Fati.
A great introduction to Finland and the Stockholm area. I really enjoyed the combination of walking and sightseeing. I was pleasant surprised that the walking wasn’t quite as gentle as I’d feared The Finnish countryside was stunning and this, together with the stay in Turku, were my highlights. Toni was an excellent guide, full of information and history about both his home country of Finland and Sweden. The only downside for me was the Stockholm hotel, where the room was very warm and there was a lot of street noise with the window open at night,
This was our first trip abroad and with a tour company and WOW what an experience. Fabio, our tour guide, was simply amazing! He seemed to know everyone in Italy. We were never waiting in line as he had prearranged tickets both for the in-tour events and the optional excursions. I felt like a VIP throughout the vacation. Fabio was thoroughly knowledgeable in every area we visited and provided recommendations on restaurants and areas to shop. I would like to take another tour with him as guide.
Well-balanced itinerary with diverse walks, enabling us to see a good selection of the flora and fauna of the island, all of which was led by a very passionate and experienced tour guide - Joao - who went over and beyond to ensure everyone enjoyed a great experience of the island, including organising superb restaurant options for our evening meals and joining us at these too. A great guide who made the holiday extra special. We would thoroughly recommend this choice of destination for a walking holiday.
