Well paced and varied itinerary, with some built in free time to explore on your own. Visited lots of interesting places. Stayed in comfortable hotels. Recommend taking insect repellent for the outdoor countryside walks as there a few friendly, hungry buggies about. Signe is a good organised tour leader who “read the room well” and so was flexible and responsive to the group and shared good insight about life in the Baltic States both past and present. She organised optional group meals which were a good opportunity to sample local cuisine in good quality interesting restaurants. One can use cash or card to pay in shops and restaurants. It was nice to have the same driver and bus throughout to get us between locations. We were lucky to travel at Midsummer as we were able to see the interesting local celebrations. A thoroughly enjoyable trip and would definitely recommend.
Lovely trip, which has given me an insight in what happened to the 3 countries in the 20th century. It was also good to experience the difference between the 3 countries that are often grouped t9gether
A beautiful part of the world to visit, I would love to go there again and spend more time. Expect a full on tour complimented with some free time to continue to experience the countries or to rest, especially from walking on the cobblestones, beautiful as they are! Our guide Dziugus was knowledgeable, organised, calm and had a delightful sense of humour. He organised a WhatsApp for the group where he kept us up to date about schedules and places of interest. He also joined us for group dinners which was nice. The itinerary took us into the capitals and other cities but also to country areas. I would encourage anyone going on this trip to arrive in Tallin a couple of days before to explore more slowly on your own which I found beneficial and to also allow more time at the end to explore Vilnius and surrounds. The coach we had was a bit tight for 13 of us and could be a bit uncomfortable. Worth having slightly bigger transport for this reason and for packing the bags, which our driver did expertly. The accommodation was 50/50 in my view, some rooms being very small making it difficult to place bags out of the way. Overall I would travel with Explore Worldwide again. Enquiries made beforehand were dealt with efficiently and courteously, the prices are very reasonable and the guides including local guides are great. I especially like that this company places honest reviews on their website, pointing out positive aspects as well as areas in which there could be improvements. Kathryn, Australia
A very good trip covering all 3 Baltic countries. The group leader was excellent, with wide knowledge of culture and history of the countries and also very considerate of the team members. The tour guides in different cities also were very good.
An excellent tour with lots to see and experience.
Great tour leader (Ona) and good itinerary Would recommend
