This is an excellent tour, led by the wonderful Mr Sitha. If you want to see the temples then this is the tour for you - not just the big 2 but 16 other equally wonderful temples as well. Make sure to also do the optional tour to Oodong, the white stupa is stunning. The tour is very full-on and the heat can be a bit much for some but please do not let that deter you. The accommodation, the food, the drivers, the guides, the sights, the museums, are all amazing as are the beautiful Cambodian people. They are a triumph. If there was any "wish" to add it would be for Explore to please include an extra day in Phnom Penh and also another day in Siem Reap as there are plenty of things to see and do, or even to combine temples and "cooler' activities for the afternoons. The museums, the Hero Rats Project, The Angkor Artisans are all well worth visiting. In short - this tour is brilliant! Please go - and do all the temples rather than just a short add-on trip to Cambodia. It is so worthy of the extra time you afford it.

This tour did not follow the itinerary originally set out. Please tell Trafalgar travellers that the tour may leave out places that were originally identified on the tour plan. Wonderful tour guides. Very knowledgeable about the culture and history of the Vietnamese and Cambodian people. Wonderful information from our known guides on the history of historical and heritage sites. Wonderful cuisine experience !!

Perhaps too many temples, too much walking in extreme heat and humidity, otherwise it was a great trip. Good mix with cultural activities. Tourist Guide, Mr Sitha, is a great guide, very caring, very knowledgeable, and go out of the boundaries to show us extras, like attending a Cambodian wedding, buffalo bathing, insects stalls etc

Having traveled with Explore for decades, I am amazed at the incredible success at quality of travel by Explore when one thinks of how incredibly complex all the details are required for just one trip, especially within "developing countries", i.e., less developed economy and electronics now required for communication. I urge any traveler to hurry to explore Cambodia, and southeast Asia, because the increasing influence of China is over-whelming; it is hard to take a photo of an exotic pagoda due to the new Chinese developed skyscrapers which obscure the more diminutive traditional Cambodian structures. The Cambodian people are gentle and friendly, with their genuine, hand-clasping/bowing greetings. They made the trip pleasant. The delightfulness of the 7 other Explore travelers was as much a joy of the trip as the exotic country; Ashley, Liz, Katherine, John and the others; I looked forward to seeing them each morning; they made the trip fun.

Loved it

A really interesting trip, which shows something both of modern, recent and ancient Cambodia. Lovely people, food etc and made a bit more special by our guide, Ly, whose passion and personal experience, as well as his commitment to us and to his country, made it very special. Not a fast paced trip, possibly the first time I have come back from holiday feeling relaxed - but maybe that isn't a bad thing

Probably the best small group tour I have been on

An excellent and varied tour with many highlights. We missed out on visiting Battambang because of border disputes but this was probably to our benefit as we had extra days in Phnom Penh and Siem Riep so we had less travelling and moving hotels and gained a lovely cycle ride round Silk Island in Phnom Penh so we didn't miss out on anything. The pace was comfortable with quite moments but no boredom. The group was lovely, the leader excellent, the restaurants also excellent, such a variety of delicious food, beautifully presented at extremely reasonable prices (helped by a good exchange rate with the US$ but would still ahve been reasonable). The only improvement would have been the inclusion of some of the optional extras which were all excellent. I would have also been good to visit the Landmine museum and the Phnom Kulen mountains. I would say that countryside was what was most missing from this tour, we had glimpses on the day near Kampot and on Silk island but a visit to a National Park would have provided another level of contrast to those already on the tour. It would be good to provide an extension in Siem Riep to include a third day at the temples, the Landmine Museum, the floating villages and the Phnom Kulen mountains.
