Often referred to as the ‘Avatar Mountains’, the karst pillars of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park are unlike any other landscape you’ll see during your China tour. Dazzling viewpoints and walking trails through lush forests keep the most seasoned travelers entertained. Daredevils will get thrills from a hair-raising walk on the world’s longest glass bridge or ride on a glass elevator to the top of the mountain.

Using an outstanding travel company

We have done multiple cruises with agents in both Australia and the USA. My first time booking with Victor was excellent. He took care was responsible for a pleasant and worry free cruise. I would not hesitate to recommend Victor and his company for anyone requiring a cruise or tour in china.

Great Experience

This was my second completely independent trip to China with this tour operator. I worked with Kyle Lee to organize the itineraries and book hotels, guides, internal trains, and more. This year, I chose to visit Chengdu and Chongqing, as well as some areas of interest near these two cities. I was originally supposed to travel with my daughter, but at the last moment, due to a knee issue, she decided not to come (especially since the trip included some hiking and physical effort). So, I embarked on this journey alone. What can I say? Impeccable organization. Kyle is extremely helpful and exceptional at tailoring itineraries and travel experiences. He is attentive and present, with an incredible ability to craft trips that let you see exactly what you wanted – and even more. The guides were extraordinary. Diana, incredibly friendly and super communicative, managed to show me the most important parts of an immense city like Chongqing in just one day, while still giving me the space to explore certain places on my own when I needed it. Andy, who assisted me with logistical transfers in Chengdu, accompanied me with charm, elegance, empathy, and a great sense of humor. Even though he was with me for a short time, he left a lasting impression. However, the highest praise goes to Rosa, my main guide in Chengdu, Leshan, and Mount Emei. Calling her a guide feels reductive – she was a friend, a travel companion, and like family. Tireless, incredibly knowledgeable, and always available. Seeing that I was traveling alone, she joined me for dinners and accompanied me well beyond her working hours. We went shopping together, talked with locals (thanks to her interpretation skills), and shared so much culturally, relationally, and personally. She welcomed me into her world, and I welcomed her into mine. I don’t think I’ve ever traveled with a guide so prepared, kind, and open, who introduced me not only to her country but also to such meaningful human connections. If I could give 10 stars to this company, to Kyle, and to the amazing people I met, I absolutely would. Since I can only give 5 stars, I’ll do that instead – but I’m already thinking about traveling with them again next year!

Our trip to China

We just returned from an amazing tour in China for 15 days. Zeva organised our family of 5 tour to the places we wanted to go to for 15 days. Zeva was very organised, efficient and accomodating Our tour guides all could speak English- Summer, Lizzie, Bree and Tom took us from seeing the cute baby pandas, to crusiing in Guilin, to riding bikes and river bamboo rafting in Yangshou, to the using the exhilirating zip line between the Zhangjiajie mountains and then sliding all the way down, to the viewing the top of Shanghai and wearing the Hanfu in Zhujiajiao watertown. The drivers were very safe using very confortable minivans. Food was exceptional, hotels were 5*. We were not sure what to expect as it was our first time booking from a travel agent based overseas. However, I would highly recommend them. We didn't need to worry about internal transfers as we were treated like VIP throughout the whole trip. We had a great time!

Highly recommended!

I had a great experience! From the start, Isaac was incredibly attentive, understanding, and helpful throughout the booking and liaising process. He made sure every detail was well taken care of, which gave me peace of mind. The airport transfers were seamless, and I appreciated how smoothly everything was coordinated. The guides during the tour were knowledgeable and professional, which added so much value to the experience. One highlight was the food provided by the tour—it was absolutely delicious and exceeded my expectations. While the hotels were comfortable, their locations weren’t in the city center, which could be a slight inconvenience for those looking to explore on their own. Overall, I’m really pleased with the trip and the service provided by this company. Highly recommend them for a well-organized and enjoyable experience!

Amazing tour company and amazing guide

We were very pleased with the professional service we received, from booking our tour to excellent communication prior to the tour. We would certainly use your services again if we to return to China. Our tour guide Barry was excellent in his language skills, his knowledge of the tourism sites we visited and his willingness to assist us with questions, meal suggestions, and his flexibility. Barry was always polite, efficient and punctual.

Zhangjiajie — Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

    Zhangjiajie Tour Highlights

    • Stare into the abyss from the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge. Whether frightening or thrilling, walking this bridge certainly is one of the most spectacular ventures you’ll experience during your trip to Zhangjiajie.
    • Climb to the top of a gigantic karst pillar in Bailong Elevator, the highest outdoor elevator in the world. Make sure to be next to the window for excellent views of the surreal scenery.
    • Take a walk along streams and forests on the Golden Whip Brook for a more secluded adventure in this park.
    • Unwind and escape the crowds with a boat ride on the Xianren stream. Stop for a picnic or a swim, and absorb the striking setting you’re in.
    • Stroll around the ancient city of Phoenix, where wooden houses, tall pagodas and cobbled streets give you a glimpse of ancient China.
    • Admire the grand halls and rock pillars in the Yellow Dragon Cave during your Zhangjiajie tour. This illuminated cave has halls with a height of up to 140 meters.

    Zhangjiajie Travel Tips

    • Purchase decent hiking shoes before your vacation to Zhangjiajie as most of your tour will include long hikes.
    • Since there are very few restaurants inside Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, make sure to pack snacks.
    • During weekdays, Zhangjiajie still receives many visitors, but crowds are noticeably thinner than on the weekend.
    • The entrance ticket to the national park is valid for 4 days. Visit the park for several days to take advantage of the ticket and explore more areas.
    • Shuttle buses connect several locations within the park, like the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge and the Bailong Elevator. The rides on these park buses are included in the entrance fee.
