Part 1. Igor was a good guide unfortunately after a passenger suffered a theft he was unable to conduct the tour effectively. This badly impacted two days of the tour. Bad things happen, may I suggest you increase the level of communication on passport safety, we have toured with other who maybe over emphasise theft risk pick pockets etc. Risk maybe low impact is significant. Part 2 Viktor was excellent and informative as we had two guides they could effectively deal with t tour. PARK GOLDEN VIEW Ohrid is not up to standard, the people running the hotel need to improve standards. This was notable s other hotels where of high standard. Overall this was a great tip. 1st century communication would help, if the guide is late delayed whatever a communication mechanism in the app would help maybe with an alternative SMS message for those not on-line. Itinerary says 3:00 p.m. - To join the city tour, please come to the hotel reception. I am there only to see a note saying guide is running late wait about for over an hour, bad start caused by poor communications. Dubrovnik guide left us in incorrect hotel no ability to communicate with guide, had to use app emergency contact.

This is a fascinating and well balanced itinerary. There is consistency, continuity and variety in the sites and sights, so you are left feeling very satisfied at the depth of exploration and the numerous”wow” experiences. Some of the scenery is magical, very little that is boring. The trip pace is good, never exhausting, good variation between travel and walking, with several multi- night stops and interludes of free time Last, but not least, our tour leader, Zorica, was perfection. Organisation and arrangements resembled a well oiled machine, but with the priiceless accompaniment of lovely personality, excellent knowledge and communication skills. No orders, just a gentle “Shall we….” had us moving in the right direction, most willingly. She was also backed up by a very capable and personable driver.

I am not a historian or an archaeologist but this trip was brought to life by having such an exceptional tour guide ( & coach driver) plus the local guides were 5*

I enjoyed the trip very much. The trip contained important places to visit in each city. The guides were helpful and polite. I have a few suggestions: You may want to add 1 extra day in Bulgaria as an optional or keep it for 2 days instead of one day. Also the English interpreters were always very short in description compared to the Spanish interpreters. It should be equal . Also suggest, a map of important REAS TO VISIT ON YOUR OWN to be provided each day so we are not looking for google maps and info on google to see what to visit. Hotels were excellent except for one hotel. I plan to take another trip with you but want to have some assurance that enough English speaking will be in the tour at least 10-15 and the tour guides are paying equal importance in description of our trip. Excellent coordination in picking up from airport and at all daily events. When I needed to call, I got only Spanish answers and not English and this is not helpful for an English speaking person.

The mountain walking in Bulgaria was fantastic and made so much better by an experienced guide Andrey. The climbs /walks were challenging but the experience was well worth it. Hotel accommodation was good and the travel arrangements very good.

Brilliant!

We enjoyed our week with Julian down in the Rodolpi Mountains, trekking the hills and meadows, on the lookout for the wildlife of the region. We loved it all. The landscape (sort of alpine-esque) is gentle in places and vigorous in others. Every day the walks took us to new areas and vistas. People have impressions of what Bulgaria is going to look and feel like and this week resets those expectations completely. We summoned up the energy to head to the hide a couple of times and loved it there - a real "in the moment" way to spend three hours. The hotel was welcoming and comfortable with ample delicious local specialties to fuel our efforts. Travelling in September we were surprised by how many flowers were still out, the butterflies and insects, the huge range of funghi, not to mention the very varied bird and mammal life of all sizes. There was the familiar, and the new, at every corner.
