More than what I expected

It was more than I expected. I was expecting to come in for a travelling information session. It ended with some of the best experiences, I had, ever. The tour guide was awesome and the group all clicked, things just fell in line. There was a sense of cohesion and community.

Phenomenal

A phenomenal trip actually! My first time leaving Europe for Asia and I was welcomed with open arms! Made many a new friend, had great laughs, great opportunities, and our tour guide Damien was accomodating changes to the plan, allowing for more time spent where the group wanted and keepin us busy without ever feeling overwhelmed!! A truly great experience!

Tour guide in japan was simply awesome Tour guide in south korea was nice but did not share a lot of info about the country/people/culture/habits ec. Just monuments and places we visited - this can be improved

A really interesting country full of contrasts from sprawling cities, buddha statues tucked away on pine clad hillsides, modern and centuries old history. Whilst cemeteries may sound an odd thing to visit, both the UN and May 18th cemetery were v moving with helpful videos and beautifully laid out. The art galleries were also a nice inclusion. The first day in Seoul was very (too) full-on. It's worth adding days in Seoul to your trip to see more of the city. The rest of the trip felt fine pace wise in order to see all we did and hotels were great. Very varied and interesting itinerary even though our guide seemed to ad lib bits of this and was confused on how the Explore tipping worked, but she found us fabulous places to eat to try all different types of food which we'd have struggled to find on our own. We didn't always have a choice, and mealtimes were as and when it suited to fit everything else, but food was served within 5 minutes, so it meant time wasn't wasted. More readily available advice on things to do (free morning in Busan as the rice wine is not to everyone's taste - the cable car across the bay is a good option for views and a walk if weather permits) and restaurants to visit when not included would have been helpful. Safe and super clean country. Clean and free public toilets everywhere. I got a local Sim and used the Navermaps app which was very helpful.

korea review

Interesting trip to Korea . Initial few nights in Seoul then traveling gradually south until Busan and then back to Seoul night before trip end. trip includes a monastery overnight which , personally , I think could have been missed out . Spend the morning getting there and the monastery tour could have been covered as a day trip with an extra night in Busan instead . The meditation session was underwhelming and next day is very early departure. So you maybe spend 14 hours at monastery . It generally felt a "contrived" exercise ,although presumably its a revenue earner for the temple.

An Unknown Country

There are very few British tourists visiting this lovely country and this Exodus trip was a good way of understanding the Past and the Present state of Korea. A visit to the DMZ gives you an understanding of the conflict between the South and the North. The gardens and ordinary road-side trees are beautiful and the people are charming. There was absolutely no hassle from the local people or officials.
