- The quickest way to get to Santorini is to book a flight from Athens. During peak months of July and August, flights also operate from Thessaloniki.
- Due to it unusual geological features, Santorini is an ideal ground for growing rarevarieties of produce. Among them are white eggplants (sweeter and with fewer seeds than its more common counterpart) and Santorini tomatoes, which play the main role in the island’s signature dish – ntomatokeftedes or tomato fritters.
