Marrakech Adventure Trips

Morocco The tour was exceptional! The group of 15 was diverse, interesting and yet worked together and interacted well throughout the trip. We travelled a lot of miles but our bus was both modern and roomy and we were blessed to have an excellent driver , Youseff, so the miles passed easily. Our tour guide, Mohammed, was both informative and supportive with really good communication so we all knew where to be and what to expect on this fast paced tour. We visited many diverse and interesting places and the various guides were very informative - we walked a gazillion steps to the bottom of a waterfall - and up again! We drove up and over the Atlas Mountains- more than once - and across the plains to visit Roman ruins, medina/souk, a pottery factory , castles, palaces learning about the history as we went along. We supported local businesses on our coffee, lunch and overnight breaks as well as enjoying the hospitality of a family in a small village. The tent camp on the edge of the desert afforded an excellent night sky vista and the camel ride was an interesting experience - excellent views across the dunes and the camel were all well cared for and handled appropriately - overall the animals were all well cared for wherever we went. This was my first ever group trip and my first Explore trip. But definitely not my last - I have plans for 2 trips in 2026 with Explore and can highly recommend them.

Thoroughly enjoyed this trip to Morocco and would recommend. The route takes you across much of the country, with varied landscapes and so much to see and experience. It is quite a fast paced itinerary with a fair amount of road travel, but it is well organised and there is also downtime where you can explore some places at your own pace - I felt I was given enough information to be completely comfortable exploring alone (I was a solo traveller on the trip) and I always felt completely safe even in the busy medinas. Our tour leader Mohamed was very friendly, helpful, and always ready to share information about the country and answer questions. The local guides used were also good. Our driver Amin kept us all feeling safe and comfortable on the sometimes long drives (which have plenty of breaks built in). I returned feeling that I had had a fantastic taste of the country, and would be happy to return there to explore more.

Excellent trip, covering many of the wonderful aspects of life in Morocco. Mohammed our guide and Amine our driver were very good. I enjoyed all aspects of the trip, the camel ride, sleeping in the desert, the Kasbahs, meeting local families and the hike in Todra Gorge

An absolutely fantastic trip. Morocco is a beautiful country and we really felt like we saw a lot of it in just 9 days. Our tour leader Mohammed really brought the culture and the history of the country to life, and we enjoyed the warm Moroccan hospitality that the country is known for. The local people and tour guides that we met were friendly and welcoming and very passionate about their country. The Sahara Desert experience was incredible and definitely the highlight of the trip, although Fes was a close second! Really looking forward to getting our next Explore tour booked up.

I would have given a 5 star rating for accommodations, but for our room in Fes had a sewer smell emanating from below the bathroom sink. Loved the places we visited and the food provided by the riads.

This was a great family trip (our kids were 15 and 13) with a good mix of activities and sightseeing - it packs loads into 6 days but not too much either. Mohamed was a great guide, we learnt lots about Morocco and all was well organised. It's a fascinating country to visit from mountains to desert and changing fast - well worth a visit.
