Lyon 8-Day Tours and Trips

That was a fantastic, vibrant and unforgettable trip. Rushing rivers, sparkling waterfalls, snowy peaks and blue skies. The Gran Paradiso region is rich in forests, the slopes were strewn with blueberries and raspberries. There were both flat, easy areas, as well as steep piles of stones, so the difficulty level 4/5 - is very realistic. Nice authentic accommodation places, always great lunches and dinners. Just breakfast could be more rich. And we were lucky with our great guide Matthieu - always friendly, helpful, joking and sharing good mood with everyone.

The tour was very good. Places we went to were well chosen. Bus was very clean and well maintained. Tour guide was friendly and seemed to know her stuff. On the whole the tour was very good value for money. However it is projected as a seven day tour when in reality it is at best six days. The first 'day' is really only a meet and greet evening meeting and the last day is simply a breakfast.

Just wanted to say thank you to you and your team. The trip was amazing. Right from the first contact we made with you and your team things ran seamlessly. The walk itself was one none of us will ever forget. The 6 days prior to the Gran Paradiso summit were unreal. Every day I found myself having to stop and look around at the absolute beauty of our surroundings. The accommodation was very well organised and really well looked after. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food on the other hand was top notch. After a full day of walking nothing better than a hearty homemade meal – 3 courses none the less… Couldn’t fault anything relating to the accommodation at all. The guides Max and Arnold as well as Robust the mule were incredibly helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much, and their knowledge of the area and the environment was quite incredible. They made the whole experience unforgettable. Lunches out on the mountain were simple yet perfect. The summit of Gran Paradiso was something that took a lot of us out of our comfort zones. It was definitely the hardest day of walking that I have experienced. Very satisfying to reach the summit after 4.5hrs of walking. The views were amazing. We will definitely be back to walk more of these trails. Thanks again for your help in setting this up for our group.

My mom and I had been on an Expat Tour in the summer of 2017 (Italy) and we were so thrilled with the experience! Our tour guide, Vivien, was beyond amazing: fun, friendly, knowledgeable, went out of her way to make sure guests were getting the most out of their vacation, helpful and everything you'd want from a tour guide! My mom had never traveled using a tour guide company and she especially loved how easy and carefree traveling with Expat was. Naturally, when we decided to visit France, in the summer of 2018, we used Expat for a second time and we were, once again, very happy with our decision. This time we had Marisol as our tour guide and we were equally as happy with her services. Marisol was very energetic and enjoyable to be around! My mom and I love traveling and traveling with Expat just makes the experience shine so much more!

This was a first for my husband and I. First time overseas and first time on a Bus Trip. We loved it!! Got to see so many parts of France and we did not have to drive ourselves, that was the best part. We had a very professional driver and an Awesomesauce Tour Leader - Branden! Branden was very professional, good communication, accommodating, knew his history, and was so nice to talk with!! The bus made plenty of stops for breaks and all the meals that were included were good. All of the hotels were nice, nothing special about them, but always felt safe, slept good & always hot shower. The Chateau's were Amazing & Mont St. Michel was my favorite stop, so Beautiful! Normandy was somber, but glad we visited. A lot of opportunities to drink wine on this tour - even if you do not, (like me) still a great tour and you do not need to partake if you do not want to, you will still have a GREAT time!! I feel 7 days was fast, but it was a good amount of time to get our feet wet. We did however, come to Paris early and spent 4 days on our own before the bus trip, that was so nice to see the sights (Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Arc de Triumph, etc...) on our own as the Bus trip only gave us a drive by on those sights. We look forward to using this tour operator again for another adventure.

Excellent trip - absolutely stunning views, and the tracks were mostly clear, it felt like we’re were the only ones there. The guide was excellent, very well organised and it was a very rewarding trip all round.
