An excellent tour of Sri Lanka. New and interesting things to see every day. Our driver Suji was fantastic, he had an amazing knowledge of the history and culture of Sri Lanka which he readily shared with us. Suji’s driving was excellent, very courteous and safe. Suji was also very flexible to make changes in the agenda to suit our needs. Would definitely use this tour company again and request that Suji is our driver for the next trip to the north of Sri Lanka.
Great trip from start to finish showcasing lots of different parts of Sri Lanka. The hiking was great and really got you away from the tourist hot spots. Beautiful scenery up in the mountains and forests, tea plantations, lakes, waterfalls. It was more beautiful than I had imagined. Hotels were all of a good standard, several with pools. I would have preferred not to camp the one night but that is just me! I liked that there weren't lots of long road journeys and the itinerary was well paced. Lots of opportunities to sample Sri Lankan food. Great wildlife and birds. We were lucky enough to spot a leopard but the safari would have been fun even if we hadn't as there was still lots to see. Overall, a brilliant trip as you see and do so much in the 15 days.
I have recently returned from the most incredible walking trip in Sri Lanka. The walks were very diverse, up mountains, through rainforests and around serene lakes. We also explored the cities, beaches and National Parks (where we were lucky enough to see a Leopard!). Our leader, Ruwan, was first class - he was very organised, friendly, told us interesting stories about the culture and history and took us to meet lots of local families, who were all lovely. I couldn't speak of this trip more highly.
We had a great time. This local travel specialist was most helpful when "tweaking" our trip to get the most from it. Our guide (Chami) was terrific and really helped make things perfect.
Great itinerary full of interesting activities. Really good hotels throughout. Dinners included - some really good meals with wide choice, never disappointing. Excellent driver guide throughout - Nishantha - so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
It was my first solo travel and I cannot be more satisfied with the experience with this local travel expert and the tour: Grand Tour of Sri Lanka. The itinerary was really well planned and executed, we managed to visit the major attractions of the country while having time to relax and enjoy the holidays. Our driver and guide Gaya is the best! He really cared about our comfort and did everything possible to make sure we enjoyed the country. More than that, we had a family atmosphere, we even called each other brothers in their mother language, I was the youngest sister = nangui, I had 2 older sisters (solo travellers as well) = Aka and our older brother, Gaya = Aya. Definitely, I would recommend this tour and would not hesitate to trust on them in the future. Thank you Gaya and local travel specialist for the wonderful tour. Ayubowan!!
