I totally enjoyed the Mayan experience with our tour leader Thomas Morales...we were his family and he organised a brilliant holiday for us. He solved a major problem we had with our phone...I highly recommend him as a tour leader. My only concern was the treatment of farm animals going for slaughter....I did not see any vetinary supervision or any health and safety practices.

Excellent

Got to see alot in a short space of time in Mexico and Guatemala. Logistics were taken care of, that made it easier as a solo travellers. Just take note of the long hours on the bus days.

A great and very full-on trip, which took us to multiple destinations in Guatemala. We were disappointed not to get to Honduras, and to be honest the "add ins" as a result of that were the least thrilling part of the trip, but really feel like we saw Guatemala in depth. Our guide, Thomas, was amazing, for example taking us to a local dance ceremony where there were literally no other tourists. He was endlessly informative and enthusiastic. The Day of the Dead celebrations were mind-boggling.

The countries on this tour were incredible and definitely worth visiting. Our coach drivers were excellent—careful, skilled, and one even great at spotting wildlife. The tour guide was caring and attentive, and border crossings went smoothly. However, the accommodation was a major letdown. Many hotels were cheap, noisy, and far from Western standards—some rooms had no natural light. Those who paid a single supplement got the worst rooms, which was frustrating. Additionally, we were promised a visit to a national park in the advertisement, but it’s been closed for over a year, and we weren’t informed in advance. There were also too many stops at local markets, and I would have preferred more time exploring nature instead. Overall, the countries are fantastic, but the tour provider needs to improve on accommodations, communication, and the balance of activities to make this a truly great experience.
