Every expat tour is different (I've been in three). Northern Explorer was FUNtastic.. hectic but full of experiences and excitement.
The hotels were all good. The TL and driver was superb

This tour exceeded my expectations. Ege was the greatest. This was my third tour with Expat and Ege is without a doubt the BEST TOUR LEADER i have ever had. He is so knowledgeable and accommodating. He was patient and kind and so very funny and charming. It is clear that he is really doing what he loves which makes him such a great person.

There were only 15 of us and I'm thankful for the great group of travellers. I see this tour as a teaser to coming trips as we didn't stay long enough to explore more of each city.
The tour offered life enriching experiences. The amazing architectural structures in Spain and Portugal blow me away. I liked the pace of the tour not rushing every morning.the included dinners were real authentic Spanish dishes like paella with seafood . Wine tasting was phenomenal. Gustavo as a guide did a great job . Impressed with his energy and restaurant tricks. Optionals were very picturesque and historical. In 15 days I think I've seen more gorgeous places than I ever expected.
I found the Trip informative. Comfortable and fun. It was so nice to let someone else do all the planning and all I had to do was enjoy/ reap the benefits!
We just got back from the Best of Europe (22 day tour) and it was an amazing experience, but group travel is not for everyone. If you want to meet new people to explore Europe with & can handle being on a schedule - then group travel is for you. If you want to isolate yourself, have trouble with compromise, and are looking to complain about your fellow travelers and the tour guide - then group travel is not for you.
Emma (tour guide) was amazing and reminded professional throughout the tour. She was always willing to answer questions and give a quick history & language lesson about the different cities in Europe. She made the entire trip enjoyable and manageable as she is an excellent communicator.
As for the tour itself, there are a lot of cities and, at times, it's hard to keep them straight - but that's not necessarily a bad thing. This tour gives you a good sense of what Europe is like and where one may want to visit again. The local tour guides were very good for the most part

This tour was run so smoothly. It had a great balance of professionalism and fun. The experiences were so good. Big bucket list items were ticked off. But mostly our tour guide Peter was fantastic. He went above and beyond for every single person on the tour.

I absolutely loved the experience that Vivian provided me. I actually want to book my trip with her as my guide. The group was small in number and it made for a great time.
