Absolutely fabulous tour - especially if you can get Justin Walley to lead it.
Tour was a good mixture of morning tours lead by experienced local guides and a good amount of free time to explore on your own.
The group dinners were good value - both in the quality of the meals and the venues. The dinners were not rushed (as we have found on Insight tours).
Cooking class was such fun.
Really recommend this tour.

The Blue-Roads Jewels of Southwest France tour was incredibly enjoyable, interesting, and provided excellent value.
Nathalie, our tour leader, was highly knowledgeable, accommodating, and attentive to everyone’s needs while Ken, our driver, ensured safe navigation through the narrow, winding Blue-Roads to the many fascinating stops each day.
The accommodation was generally excellent, especially considering the historic locations we stayed in.
The rooms were always very clean, though some were small, and a few had showers over baths—a bit of a pet peeve these days.
The charming villages, castles, churches (both large and small), and stunning scenery were places you likely wouldn’t visit on your own.
The absolute highlight was staying at Hotel le Donjon within Carcassonne’s city walls and walking the entire ramparts.
We highly recommend this Blue-Roads tour and look forward to taking another one in Europe or the UK soon!

There were only 8 people in our tour group. All the guests were pleasant, and we all got along great. Everyone was considerate of the time and our fellow passengers. The group leader Angie and our coach driver Mattheo were both wonderful. We were escorted by our group leader who had all the plans perfectly timed with no stress getting to any place. Our driver Mattheo was always at our location to pick us up on time. The trip was amazing. The scenery along the coast of Italy and Switzerland was breathtaking. The many modes of transportation made it a very interesting and an exciting trip. We never lacked for any beautiful scenery along the way. The hotels were all very nice and the luggage service at each location was great. My only complaint is that the food in Switzerland was very expensive and not the best for the price you had to pay as compared to Italy where the meals were great. We enjoyed our little excursions that were planned for us. One of my favorites was the cooking class and wine tasting in Verona Italy. The chocolate factory in Switzerland was also a favorite. The overall trip was great, and I would highly recommend it.

Wonderful guide and tour. We got to see so many amazing, beautiful and historic places and learnt so much about Portuguese history, culture and cuisine. This was all managed wonderfully by our fun, friendly and competent guide, Georgina from Argentinian, who spoke fluent English ,Spanish, Portuguese, and some Italian. Being in a small group of 16 we felt we could ask questions and nothing was to much bother.

Wonders of Wales tour led us thru the Blue-Roads of this stunningly beautiful Country. From visiting Cathedrals, Castles to a coal mine, wool museum, walks along the shores of Wales, to St Fagans National Museum, this tour provided us with a great look into the history of Wales. Hotels and restaurants were amazing.

We chose the "Enchanting Eastern England" tour for 3 reasons:
1. Previous excellent experience with Blue/Blue-Roads tours;
2. We love traveling with Aussies, New Zeelanders, Canadians;
3. This particular tour went to areas where we had not been;
4. The timeframe worked well with our lives.
We were not disappointed! We had 13 travelers in a 16 passanger van with an superior guide (Jessica) and an amazing driver (Lee). We did indeed see the "back roads," which gives a unique perspective on the country. We were thrilled with the full itinerary and the housing and food choices were a real bonus. The only challenge was that we were in the British Isles for three week and we throught the one "roll aboard" + backpack per person would be too limiting. It wasn't. It was very freeing and caused us to get creative. We worked with a black pallet and colors that looked good in layers. Being late in the season, we had one wool layer and warm washable under garments. "Tide stick" keep clothes clean and hand-washing was an option with two nights in each hotel. Thank you, Blue-Roads.

Excellent guide and safe driver. H Comfortable bus. Well thought out faultless itinerary . We are 87 years old and of limited ability but with the guide Rachel and bus drivers Gordon's help we coped very well a d enjoyed it immensely. The tour showed us how beautiful England is. Great tour with a small group to see parts of Denmark and Sweden that you would normally not see when traveling on a big tour. Accommodation was excellent and it was also great to spend time in small towns and to stay somewhere other than big hotels
