The itinerary was perfect for me because it allowed time to explore a bit on your own time. I didn't want to pack and unpack more than just a few times.

There’s a lot of walking,so be a where that you can handle the pace. Also walk ways are very uneven so watch your step. I’m 72 but in good shape, just for those who feel that it may be too challenging. I think by being able to walk you see more of the towns and countryside. I would recommend the tour, but also give my opinion on challenges that may come up. Not being able to keep up holds, back the rest of the tour. It was a trip of a lifetime for me.

The mountainous areas of the dolomites are extraordinary beautiful and dramatic and the views change constantly with the clouds and weather. The dolomite are not a place to be overlooked. The local people are very friendly and welcoming and the local food is very tasty. The explore leader went above and beyond what was expected. His knowledge of the environment, wildlife geology and history of local area of the Dolomites was second to none. The Explore leader we had on this trip could speak several languages from Italian to German, Spanish and English Which made it very easy for us to enjoy our walks in the mountain s. Such a beautiful, beautiful place.

We loved our Italy vacation. Our host ( Jackie) was amazing. I would give her an eleven out of ten. Well organized throughout, I would recommend this vacation to anyone that wants to spend time in the country . We expected the trip to be great, but it exceeded our expectations. It was nice having someone who'd knew so much about the country to guide use us to the right spots and to share her wealth of history ,art and customs. Thumbs up. Enjoy!

First day in Rome is great but brutal, Vatican and Colliseum was a lot of walking with little time to rest. The venues for the dinners were great especially the Villa de Machiavelli.

A brilliant holiday if you like being active. The scenery is superb, rocky gorges and peaks that are breathtaking, and the vegetation varied between evergreen trees in more mountainous spots, to low thorny shrubs and thyme on exposed sunny slopes. The sound of goat bells and the scent of the herbs make it a multi-sensory experience. Our wonderful guide Smaro was always careful to make sure everyone in the group was happy, and looked after us well. She is such a warm, happy person, loved by everyone we met.
